Here We Go Again (Two Others, mkay? :D )

He chuckled. "If we want to get there before the restaurant closes," he took her hand and kissed her.

Brittany smiled then reached for her phone. She opened it, seeing a missed text from her mom saying where to meet her mom and dad. "Oh, well we're meeting them at Austen's now... That's cool."

Justin smiled and pulled her closer, kissing her softly, then walking to his car, holding her hand. He opened her door for her, humming "Happy Birthday" with a grin.

Brittany smiled and walked out with him, blushing when he started humming happy birthday. "Love, you don't have to do anything for me. You did enough today and yesterday to last a lifetime..."

He smiled and kissed her before closing the door and getting in the driver's seat. "But I want to," he said.

Brittany sighed, smiling warmly over at him. "Love, I know that. And I want to be able to have you and just you. That's all I want. And since I already have you, I don't want anything else."

He took her hand and kissed it. "Is it really a crime to want to see you smile," he asked. "Why are you so reluctant about me doing things for you?"

Brittany sighed, squeezing his hand gently. "You know I don't like being treated like a princess..."

He chuckled. "You're just gonna have to deal with it sometimes. Like around your birthday, our anniversary, until you heal completely. You know, that sorta stuff," he chuckled and kissed her hand again.

Brittany sighed, nodding. "I guess I could do that... Let you pamper me for a little bit, though I don't know what to expect so be prepared for showerings of thanks..."

He laughed and leaned over to kiss her cheek softly before he turned his attention back to the road and pulled into the parking lot.

"Yeah," he grinned and leaned back into the couch. "Hmm... Waht to do..."

"Good question" she said with a grinned and leaned over on him. She liked being around and with him. It was pretty great. What was that thing just nawing at the back of her mind? It had to do with Britt.... Her birthday! She groaned. She had always been there for Britt's birthday, and now she wouldn't be. She'd just have to order her some flowers to her doorstep for her or somethin, even if Britt went ahead and threw them away.

Deryk looked up at her curiously, then blinked when she groaned. "What's wrong," he asked, frowning.

"Just remembered something I've gotta do later. Not right now though. It can wait" she said, flashing him a smile. She didn't want him tot hink she was weird for sending someone she got in a big fight with some flowers for her birthday. It would sound a bit odd.

He raised his eyebrow, wondering what she was talking about. "Those drugs must still be in your system," he chuckled.

She smiled and laughed. "Maybe they are, who knows?" she said with a shrug. She knew they weren't though, because she could definitely feel her injuries now. There was no question about it. She didn't know how to handle Deryk sometimes though. She wished he would just kiss her, but it didn't look as if he would. She never liked having to be the forward one before, but she figured she might have to give it a try now and again.

Deryk chuckled and shrugged with her. He did want to kiss her, badly. He wanted to show her that he'd be there for her, always. He knew she liked him; she'd out and said it. But he didn't know how fast or slow she wanted to go, or if she even wanted to really start a relationship with him.

She let her eyes slide over to him and her laughter subsided. She pulled one of his hands into her lap and played with his fingers, allowing her eyes to watch them. What was the best way to say it.. "You know Deryk... I've been thinking..."

He watched her play with his fingers, then looked up at her. He fought the urge to ask if it hurt and twined his fingers with hers. "About," he asked softly, gently running his thumb over her hand.

"About things.. that pertain to you... and me...." she replied, keeping her eyes on his and her hands. She was really bad at this. "I was thing we could maybe... you know..."

He leaned toward her and lifted her chin, making her look in his eyes. "I don't know if you're about to ask this or what, but..." he took a deep breath. "I've liked you for a long time, Alora... For a really, really long time... Will you give me a chance and be my girlfriend, if it's not too awkward for you," he asked her.

"I'd love to" she said and flashed him a smile. She was pretty sure that was what she had meant to ask, but didn't mind that he got to it before she did. Like she had thought before, she had just recently started thinking of him that way.

He light up like fireworks on the night of the Fourth of July. "Really?"

Alora's smile widened and she nodded. "Yes really" she said back, taking in his reactions to everything. How long has he liked her then? From hte way Britt was talkin, it must have been quite a while.

He smiled happily, pretty sure it was the truest of his smiles that Alora had ever seen, and kissed her hand. "Thank you," he told her, meaning it wholeheartedly.
