Here We Go Again (Two Others, mkay? :D )

Deryk thought a moment and called his mom, who answered. "Mom, are you in the ER right now?"

"Yes, honey, what's wrong?"

"Britt and Alora went at it, can you look at both of them? Britt looks pretty bad," he sighed.

"Of course, honey. I see Brittany right now. Oh, honey, you look terrible," she told Brittany as she hung up the phone. She got a wheelchair and helped her down into it. "Tell me what hurts first, and then what happened," she said, wheeling her into an empty room.

Deryk got out of the car and got Alora out, holding her so she didn't go running after Brittany. "My mom's gonna get both of you two bandaged up," he murmured to her as they walked through the doors.

Justin was in the lobby, waiting for Deryk's mom to come out to give the verdict and tell him he could go in and see Brittany. He stared at the wall, not seeing Deryk or Alora as they walked in.

Brittany grimaced, coughing. She let herself roll over to the trashcan and spit blood into it, groaning. "Well, my whole chest hurts... Especially the lower half. I know I've got at least one broken rib, possibly two more higher up. And I might have a punctured lung...." She grimaced looking to the door. "Where's Justin... God, I owe him a huge apology for doin this...." She grimaced after all that talking, the pain inreasing. "It hurts to talk.... I'm in bad shape..."

Alora didn't bother to go after Britt after she got out. She clearly felt that there was no way she could go after Britt because she was too busy trying to walk. She didn't have anything broken, but she was bruised bad and bruised deep. She knew there wasn't anything that the docs could give her except pain meds and maybe something for her soon-to-be black-eye.

Deryk's mom had a nurse help get Brittany onto the x-ray machine. "Alright, sweetie, just relax. Try not to breathe too deep, okay?" She did the x-rays and put Brittany back into the room to let her relax, putting some pain medicine into the IV and started checking her for cuts or open wounds, tending to them. "Relax, I'll be right back," she told her and went to see Deryk and Alora. "How are you, sweetie? You don't look nearly as bad as Brittany. What happened, is anything hurt," she asked her as she took her into an empty room and got her up onto the bed.

Deryk sighed and sat in the lobby; Justin still not looking at him. "You know what started it," Deryk asked him.

"Your guess is as good as mine," Justin sighed. "Did Alora say anything about you loving her?"

"Of course not. I don't think she heard Brittany, or listened to her," he sighed. "The girl just keeps putting salt in my wounds..." He wondered why he was telling Justin this, and decided it didn't matter.

"But you still love her," Justin pointed out.

"Yeah... I still love her," Deryk mumbled, staring at the opposite wall.

Brittayn winced in pain, laying as still as possible. There wasn't as much blood welling up in her mouth now, but she could still taste the irony, salty taste. It was horrid. She looked over at the door, wondering when Justin would be able to come in. God, she hurt like hell.

Alora settled down and didn't bother to get up, except for the times when she was told to. She said to the nurse, "I may not look bad now, but in a few hours the bruises will show up and I'm gonna look like a one-eyed, one-horned, flying purple people eater... With more purple than anything else."

Deryk's mom called her son and Justin in to see Brittany. "Brittany's got two broken ribs, and one fractured one. One of her lungs is bruised horribly, nearly punctured, but we'll take care of that. Other than that, she'll recover fine. We've already taped her up and hooked her up with pain killers. She needs plenty of rest, and make sure she gets plenty of vitamins," she told Justin. "Once she feels better, she can go home."

Justin nodded and walked over to Brittany, holding her hand. "How you feeling," he asked softly.

Deryk went with his mom to Alora; his mom had given her painkillers through an IV as well. "How are you feeling now, sweetie," his mom asked her.

Deryk waited in the doorway, his eyes not leaving the girl he loved in the hospital bed.

"I feel alot better, thanks" she said tot he nurse with a smile, and turned to see deryk in the doorway. She gave him a sheepish smile. "Sorry?" she said to him, and motioned for him to come over. "You know, I didn't mean to do it. And what did Britt mean earlier by the way? I've been tryin to figure it out. Maybe I'm just dense." she said with a shrug. "But then I think I'm startin to see some thing I had seen before.." She eyed him for a moment. Maybe all those times she had heard him say he loved her, it wasn't to be taken as a brother- sister kind of love. It was different kind entirely.

Brittany bit her lip, her eyes closed. When she felt the warmth of Justin's hand on hers, she smiled softly. "Hi baby..." It hurt her just to talk. The painkillers took the pain away on the inside, but she still felt horrible on the outside. She couldn't breathe right... She would be bandaged up for ages, or so to her it felt. "Love, I feel horrible... Absolutely horrible. And I'm sorry... Sorry you had to see-" She took a slow breath, trying to steady her voice. "Had to see me like that... I'm not normally like that... It's just... She... I told her that you and I were going out then she punched me.. That was the last thing I remember. I remember screaming at her, but when I was hitting her, I just blacked out..." She sighed, pulling his hand to her lips and kissed his hand softly. "I'm really sorry..."

Deryk walked over to her when she motioned for him to. "You are incredibly dense," he agreed, but didn't answer her question. He wouldn't meet her eyes; he was afraid of her knowing how he felt about her, and her not returning the feelings. He had a tiny bit of hope, though. Maybe she'd realize she loved him, too.

Justin kissed her forehead. "Shh, just relax, baby," he whispered, rubbing her hand with his thumb gently. "Everything's fine. I'm not mad, just worried about you."

Alora winced and stood slowly. "I think I'm gonna go home here in a bit. I didn't get it as bad as she did." she said quietly. She knew that now that she was nice and drugged up they would send her home in no less than a few minutes to an hour. As she thought about this, an idea popped into her head. "Hey Deryk, after I get out of here, wanna go see I movie with me?" she questioned with a grin. "We could go like a date or just as friends, which ever you prefer.."

Brittany sighed, her soft smile falling away. "Justin... I'm worried too... My lung is punctured... The nurse didn't want you worrying too much. I'm slated for surgery later today to get it fixed up..."

Deryk blinked. Did she just ask him out on a date? It had to be the meds... He hoped to god it wasn't, though. "Yeah, sure," he said softly. "What do you want to see," he asked.

Justin kissed her lips softly. "Then they'll get you all fixed up and you can come home," he murmured, trying to hide how really worried he was, so he didn't stress her out. "I'm sure your parents won't mind me crashing on their couch for a while until your healed," he smiled softly.

Alora smiled and shrugged. "I dunno.... Funny People? or...... I dunno. I haven't been to the movies in so long. " she said with a sigh. At least now she was sure he liked in that other way. It could work to her advantage, and maybe make Deryk happy in the process. Why not give it a try? The nurse came in with some pills and told her she could go but to take it easy. She nodded and stood up slowly. Her head spun a bit because of the meds, and she had to grab a hold of Deryk's arm for a moment.

Britt smiled a little. "I'm sure they will, considering the circumstances. And if not, I could at least give you a call more often than not." she said with a small shrug that she regreted. It sucked, even with the pain meds.

"Neither have I," Deryk said. When she grabbed a hold of his arm, he hesitantly held her up. "You okay? You can rest a while longer. There's no rush," he told her.

Justin frowned and kissed her forehead. "Don't move, babe," he murmured and sighed. "I wish there was something I could do..."

"I'm alright" said Alora, slowly letting go. The dizzyness went away for now and she was relieved for such. "But if you don't mind, could you take me home so I could change. You know, these are a bit.. bloody..." she said with a weak smile. She' be okay becase there wasn't much pain, with the meds and all. But she did have to put on some makeup and stuff, on account of her black eyes comin in along with several soon to be way too noticable bruises. And her clothes had the coppery smell of blood to it.

Brittany knew he was right, that she shouldn't move aroun too much. "Just you being here with me is enough" she said with a little smile. She was glad they were going out, no matter what Alora wanted to say about it. She could get over it, as she had thought before that she already did.

"Yeah, sure," he murmured. "But we're gonna pass by Britt's room. You have to promise you won't go in there and try to beat her up. She's got two broken ribs, a fractured one, and a bruised lung, if not punctured. Mom might have been downplaying," he sighed, helping her down from the tall hospital bed.

Justin kissed her softly. "I'll be here as long as you need me," he promised, squeezing her hand gently.

"I don't think I'll be doing any more fighting for some time now after that one. I hurt" she said with a weak laugh. "I forgot how strong she could be." She kept her hand on his arm till she stabalized herself, and then she figured she wold be okay to walk. "Let's get goin" she said with a little sigh. She didn't even want to see inside Britt's room, probably cause she felt bad about hitting her in the first place.

Brittany smile and kissed him back. Her meds were kicking in, she was feeling better baecaseu of them. "I'm glad, because I don't think I'd want anyone else to be the one here with me..."

Deryk made sure she was able to walk on her own without toppling over before he started walking with her, ready to catch her if she started to fall. He opened the car door for her, taking off the child locks, and buckled her in. "You sure you want to go to the movies so soon," he asked her, closing his own door behind him. "Don't push yourself," he told her, looking at her, before he pulled out of the parking lot.

Justin stroked the top of her head gently, smiling softly. "Get some rest, baby," he whispered. "I'll be right here."

Brittany sighed, closing her eyes when she heard the door open. "Brittany... Justin..." She opened one of her eyes and grumbled, an OR doctor standing in the door-way in scrubs. "It's time for your surgery. It shouldn't be more than half an hour, tops. And when it's over you'll be taken to an in-patient room to stay the night for observations. If everything goes well, you'll be released tomorrow." She sighed, nodding a tad. "Yeah... Okay..."

"Yeah, I'll be fine once I change. It'll give me time to get used to the meds. And really, going to t he movies doesn't take much effort when you don't do much more than sit and watch a movie. Now if I had said 'hey, lets go to an amusement park' I think I'd be pushin it." she said with a grin. She couldn't help but to disagree with stayinghome, as to the fact she would be bored out of her mind there.

Justin hated to leave her, but he couldn't be in there with her. He kissed Brittany again. "I'll be here when you wake up," he promised and let the doctors take her away to perform the surgery.

Deryk looked at her. It looked like the meds were only taking her pain away, not making her act loopy. Well, not really. "Alright, we'll go to the movies," he said, looking back to the road as he pulled into her driveway and got out, helping her out, too. "I'll wait right here," he said when they got inside.

Brittany held onto his hand as long as possible then let it go as they wheeled her out from the ER room and into the elevator, taking her up to the 5th floor. She didn't like the fact that she was having to be separated from Justin, but she'd have to handle it. A half an hour wouldn't be that bad, would it? She closed her eyes as they went onto the 5th floor, wheeling her into a room to change into a hospital gown and get ready for surgery.

Alora nodded. "Alright. I'll be right back..." She went inside, going back to her room. The first thing she did was change her clothes. At the same time, she wiped off any of the dried blood that was on her. After she finished, she went into the bathroom and used Scope to rinse out any unwanted tastes or fluids in there. She was starting to feel a little silly since her meds were starting to kick in.

Justin watched her go sadly and sighed, going back to the waiting room and sitting down. He knew they'd come to get him when her surgery was over.

Deryk waited patiently by her door, listening hard for a thud or something, in case she fell over.

Brittany was pushed into the OR, being laid up on a cloth-covered table. The surgery started, lasting 40 minutes because she'd started to lose too much blood so they had to stop and let her body recuperate. She was wheeled into a room on the 4th floor, attaching many tubes and wires along with her IV. They called for Justin over the intercom to go to room 432.

Alora walked back out, smiling wide at Deryk. "Okay, let's go..." She climbed into the automobile and let her head fall back against the back of the seat. She put her seat belt on and rolled the window down.

Justin kept an eye on the clock, starting to worry when the operation lasted over half an hour. When his name was called to go to room 432, he practically ran to the elevators, then down the hallway to the right room. He looked at her. "What's wrong? Why'd it take so long," he demanded, walking to Brittany's bedside.

Deryk nodded and got into the driver's seat, turning the AC off since she wanted the windows down. "You wanted to see... What movie again? You want something to eat, too," he asked, driving to the mall.

Brittany sighed, hearing Justin in the room. "Shh... Baby, relax.. I just lost too much blood for a little while... That's all..." She smiled warmly and softly at him, trying to sit up but winced in pain. "I think I need stronger pain medicine... I'm feeling too much right now..."

Alora blinked, turning her head to Deryk. "Are you inside my brain or something? How'd you know I was hugnry huh? Huh, huh?" She said with a grin, trying not to laugh. "And I don't know what movie I want to see, I don't even know what's out right now..."

Justin frowned and went to get a nurse. "She needs more pain medicine," he told them and walked back to her, taking her hand. "They should be coming with more," he murmured. "Just relax," he kissed her forehead.

Deryk bit the inside of his cheek. Her words were starting to get a little slurred. Stupid meds. He sighed. "Just a guess," he chuckled. "Hmm... Well, we can look once we get there."

Brittany sighed, laying back as a nurse came in with a full IV bag, with almost the double average pain medicine and hooked it up to the IV stream. Britt sighed, squeezing Justin's hand in hers and laced her fingers with his, her eyes closing.

Alora spaced out for a second, not hearing a word he said. She blinked suddenly, looking over at Deryk. "Huh, what? Did you say something?"

Justin stroked her hand with his thumb as the pain medicine took effect and sat down in the chair, pulling it forward so he could hold her hand while he sat.

Deryk glanced at her worriedly. "I said we can look at what's playing once we get there... Are you sure you don't want to stay home," he asked. "You seem... loopy."
