"All this mountain-climbing is bound to catch up with me sometime," he chuckled, kissing her back.

Kat smiled. "Maybe we could set up camp for the night then start up again in the morning? I know how a guy needs his rest."

"You're sure your parents won't kick me out," he asked her softly, cuddling her close.

Kat grinned, kissing him. "They wouldn't dare," she mumbled against his lips.

He smiled, kissing her back, holding her as close as possible. "Alright. I'll stay," he whispered.

Kat smiled, resting her head on his shoulder. "Okay, good. I'd be sad if you left...."

He smiled and kissed her cheek, holding her close lovingly and protectively.

Kat sighed with a smile. She felt so warm in his arms. She was exuberant right now. She reached back and pulled her sheets up over them both, kissing his cheek.

He smiled and held her close, kissing her cheek back. "Sleep well, love," he whispered in her ear.

Kat smiled, closing her eyes. "I definitely will..."

He smiled and kissed her cheek as he closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep himself.

Kat slept well most of the night, till about 4 or so, when she heard scratching on her door. She went to it, slipping on her robe, and opened the door. Her golden retriever burst into the room, wagging his tail happily. He saw Deryk and tilted his head at him for a moment then went back to licking Kat's hand. "Shhhh! Quiet Jamie... Deryk's sleeping..." She walked back to the bed and curled up in Deryk's arms, Jamie hopping up on the bed as well.

Deryk jumped awake as something cold and wet poked his foot. "Good god, what the he**," he blinked, his eyes focusing. "You have a dog...?" He didn't remember her having a dog.

Kat chuckled, smiling. "Yeah... Kinda got lonely through elementary and middle school...

Deryk blinked sleepily and patted the dog's head. "Good dog," he murmured and laid back down, wrapping his arms around Kat possessively and lovingly.

Kat kissed his cheek and ruffled Jamie's fur before falling back asleep.

Deryk fell right back asleep and slept soundly for the rest of the night, waking up with his arms around Kat.

Kat woke up around 8:30ish. Thank god for saturdays. She smiled warmly at Deryk, early sunlight filtering through her window shades.

He smiled softly at her, gently tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear and kissing her lovingly. "Good morning," he whispered.

Kat smiled, kissing his cheek. "Morning sweetheart..."

He smiled lovingly at her. "How did you sleep, love?"

Kat smiled, sighing. "I slept beautifully baby..."

"Well, of course. You are beautiful," he chuckled and kissed her softly. "I should probably get going. We both have to get ready for school."

Kat grinned, chuckling. "No we don't love... It's saturday..."

"Oh," he chuckled. "Where has my mind gone? Oh, yeah," he grinned and kissed her softly. "Here," he poked her nose gently, smiling at her.
