"Heh, because of my parents cutting off my inheritance due to this marriage. Then again, I'm the only heir to their line....Still, you don't regret anything at all?" Richard asked, smiling weakly and holding Antionette's hand as he held Autumn with his arm instead.

"Heh, you were more than just a farmer's daughter. You're were an angel, and still are." Richard said, smiling and looking over Antionette with a shine in his eyes. He still felt that passion he had for her years ago and always will. Autumn soon started whining. "Aw, guess she's had enough?"

Richard nodded, going back inside. Once Autumn was put to rest, both parents could relax and have dinner. Sitting at the table with lukewarm food, he smiled at Antionette. They seemed to have the perfect life. Nothing was wrong, at least not until their daughter would grow up a bit more. Every child acts out differently.

Richard looked up at Antionette, smiling and going back to his food. When being a parent, you must give up some things. After all, in their time period, it was all about making yourself survive along with your children. Many never really went past the age of maybe twelve if not properly taken care of.

That is what he most feared: disease. Imagine, his wife or his daughter getting sick from Scarlet Fever or any other scary sicknesses out there. It was terrifying. He gulped loudly from his cup, his hand shaking a bit. If only death excused the children and women, but obviously that would go against nature.

A huge sigh came from Richard's lips as he reminded himself of his injury to his arm. Would he have an infection later in life? Would his arm cease to function or function half of it's capacity? He truly didn't want to think of it. "Antionette, after dinner, I'd like to talk to you about something..." he said, meaning he wanted to talk about a will. He had to make sure it wouldn't be tampered with after his death, if it was near.

"Thank you, darling." he said, smiling and finishing his dinner. After the both of them were done, he stood and took her to his study, closing the door. "Love, I was thinking of making a will....Two copies which one you would keep and another I would give to our accountant. I mean, I've heard one too many stories of the children or heirs being tricked of their deserved belongings.." he said, coughing. He knew Antionette wouldn't like it.

"I've yet to make a will, but I just want to make sure my parents don't try to swindle you both out of what you deserve of me." Richard said, pulling her to him and hugging her tenderly. "I'm sorry to speak of this, I just wanted to let you know..." he mumbled, knowing she didn't like speaking of death especially when she was so close to it when kidnapped.

"Let's leave this for later....The baby is asleep, right?" Richard asked, chuckling and nuzzling her neck. It had been long since they both even thought of that certain subject. "It's been long..hasn't it?" he mumbled, bringing her closer to him.

"Love, what's wrong?" Richard asked, seeing that she could hardly talk. "Did I do something wrong?" he asked again, worried. Had his mention of death really shake her? It had been a few years since then, if not just two really. "I'm sorry for mentioning this.." he mumbled, hugging her once more.

"What's on your mind?" Richard asked, caressing his wife's head. All because of his big mouth and always wanting to be prepared for the future. He sighed, shaking his head. "Forget I mentioned a will." he mumbled quietly, kissing her cheek.

"I know....Still, you don't need to be hearing about death at a time like this." Richard muttered, staring back at his wife. Death was a strong word, enough to put fear into the strongest of men. "Are you tired?" he asked, opening the door and about to call on a maid to start a bath for her.
