Amber blushed, nodding. "Ah, um, okay.. One second please?" She stepped out of view for a moment, digging through her closet for her jacket. She found it at the bottom with her shoes, a sigh of relief escaping her lips. She shrugged it on then moved back to the door, her key around her neck. "I guess I'm ready..."

The man nodded, smiling as he escorted her to Zoey's quarters. It was of course of Demitri's status, but also on what to do with that situation plus Kalona's return. They had to act, now. After leaving the main building to where the teachers and others including Zoey stayed in another building, he stopped inside by her door. "Here it is. I shall wait outside for when you are done." he said as he opened the door and let her in.

Amber nodded, standing in the doorway. She was afraid of what might be spoken about. She slowly walked into Zoey's room, seeing her sitting at a desk. "Zoey?" She sat down in one of the chairs that was in front of her desk, her eyes showing exactly how she felt: lost and scared.

Zoey sighed, rubbing her face with both hands out of frustration. Never had she thought she'd encounter something so ugly. Not yet anyway. "Amber....I have to say that Demitri isn't himself anymore. It seems he wasn't as strong as most of us believed he was, mentally. He's completely consumed for bloodlust and..even women. Only so often does he go back to his former self and beg for death." she informed, looking at her fledgling with a deep regret that she couldn't help prevent all this.

Amber whimpered, but her face was stone. She closed her eyes, nodding. "I understand." She did understand, she'd understood since she'd spoken to Erebus. Things would change for everyone, herself included. She knew that she'd have to kill him now, she knew there would be a big fight at the House... There was no avoiding it now.

"What would you have me do? Hm? I'd like to at least let you have a say.." Zoey said, knowing this was harder on her than anyone else, besides herself. To have a loved one suffer so, it was only natural to let the one person that's suffering with them decide their fate.

Amber opened her eyes, looking up at Zoey. "I know what I have to do. I was given an assignment by Erebus, and I promised hi I'd fulfill it as much as I'd hate to. But, you have to let the war come on its own. Don't try to prevent it, or many people will die in vain... Please, let the war come. Let myself and the Sons fight, cause that's the only way Zoey..."

Zoey stared back at Amber, astonished. Erebus had spoken to her? But as she heard about the war to come, to let it arrive, she sighed. "Are you sure about all this?" she asked, though knowing if Erebus spoke to Amber, then this must happen.

Amber sighed, nodding. "Yeah... It has to happen this way... There's no other choice unless you want alot of fledglings and adults alike to die..."

Zoey nodded, sighing. "Well, that's a valid point.....I shall let it happen. But there's no way I'd sit idly by and watch a fight." she chuckled. "I take it that, you spoke with Erebus in the armory, didn't you?" she mused, smiling.

Amber nodded slowly, smiling a tad. "Yeah... I figured it was kind of ironic how I ended up there..."

This all seemed too familiar for her. "Well then, good thing you were taken here." Zoey chuckled. "Either way, you should get some rest. You have a lot to think about.." she said, dismissing Amber.

Amber nodded, standing. "Thank you Zoey..." She bowed slightly, turning and walking slowly out of her room-office. It was strange to think that she'd be fighting in a fall-out, when not a month ago she would've turned it down immediately.

Zoey sighed as she watched Amber leave. "This is going to be tough, especially on her.." she muttered as she once again heard Demitri's cries. He had been chained severely, just to assure safety.

Somehow, Amber hadn't heard Demitri's screams. At least, not while she was talking to Zoey. It pained her hugely to know that she would be killing the first guy she'd been that close to... But she figured Nyx and Erebus would help her after all this. She felt a stinging on her forehead, but figured it was just a migraine so she kept on to her dorm room.

Some of the girls however stared at her forehead as she was walking to her room. By the time she got inside, a cat had been waiting for her. But it wasn't the same cat that almost looked to have Demitri's eyes. It was a gray tabby, looking up at her and it's tail moving about inquisitively.

Amber didn't know why other people were staring at her, and she didn't really care to ask why right now. She was too exhausted to really care. She slipped silently into her dorm room, closing it behind her. She closed her eyes for a moment then let them fly open again. "Well... Um, hello there... Who belongs to you?" She moved toward the bed then stopped, catching her reflection in the bathroom mirror. There were blue stars littering her forehead, along with what looked like feathers. Maybe they meant something?

The tabby meowed, following after her and stopping by her side as she noticed her markings. I am yours, Amber, a voice said clearly inside her head. The cat's tail moved once more, indicating that it was it that spoke. You have received favor towards Nyx, and so you are granted these markings.

Amber nodded slowly, looking down at the cat. "So, I have a cat now? What's your name? Or do I get to name you?" She wasn't quite sure on how the whole cat thing worked, but she figured she'd have to get used to at least one if she was to do this stuff right.

The cat meowed for her first question, only purring towards the others. Obviously she didn't have a name. I have no name as of yet, but you are free to give me one if you wish, young fledgling. Jumping on her bed, she stretched, yawning and laying down on her belly, staring at Amber.

Amber smiled sitting down on the bed next to the cat. She stroked her back slowly, liking the feel of the cat's fur on her fingers. "Lydia...."

The cat raised it's head, turning it to the side and looking inquisitive. Is that the name chosen for me? Obviously she was confused and not knowing whether she was reminiscing for the fledgling's death or naming her.

Amber nodded gracefully. "Yep. Not in mourning for her, but in memory. Oh she would have loved you..."

The cat meowed, understanding her fledgling's request. Well, now that we have placed a name, shouldn't you rest? Yawning again, she curled up beside Amber's pillow, still staring at her.

Amber smiled, laying back on the bed. She curled up on her side, looking up at the cat. "Yeah, I guess sleep would be best..."
