"I wasn't going to do anything with him!" She yelled. "I'm saving myself for someone else!" She was red from embarassment.

Alex raised a brow. Who, he wondered. "Well either way, even kissing could change your mind real quick. Just don't do that without me in the house, Sami. Sheesh!" Charlie said, huffing and walking past the two. "Heh, enjoy the embarrassment?" Alex teased, smirking.

"Shut up!" she snapped, limping up the stairs but stopped on the first step and faced Alex. "You used to be a nice guy, you used to look out for me and you used to be nice to me..." she said, shaking her head. "What happened?" She sighed, limping the rest of the way up the stairs and to her room. She slamed her door.

Alex rolled his eyes sighing. He had also noticed Sami limping. Grabbing a small bag of ice, he went upstairs to her room. Knocking, he opened the door slightly and put his arm out while holding the ice bag with it. "I come in peace. I noticed your ankle.." he muttered.

She had the picture of the two of them out of it's frame and crumpled up on the floor. She had her pant leg rolled up and her swollen ankel exposed. "What do you care?" she asked.

Alex came inside, seeing their picture crumpled on the floor. Taking in the small hint of pain for that, he took a deep breath. "I'm your brother....So, I'm sorry for that." he mumbled, walking over to her and placing the ice bag over her ankle. "It's for the swelling.." he added, looking down at her ankle.

She jumped and hissed slightly as the cold hit her skin. "You make out with your girl friends and I wouldn't do something like letting him come in here catching us. Why didn't you stop him or give me some sort of hint?"

"I didn't even freaking notice, ok? Plus, what, push Dad out of the way to tell you to stop making out with your guy? Yeah, that's not obvious something was up." Alex said, sighing and scoffing.

"There are other ways... I don't know.. A really loud hi dad." she sighed, laying down.

"You should've heard him from when he walked through the door....I guess Mike must've kept you too busy to pay attention." Alex shrugged, his voice in a sort of jealous tone.

She looked at him, and raised an eyebrow. "You sounded a little jealous..." she stated.

"Jealous? We're siblings, maybe not by blood, but...gross." Alex shuddered, shaking his head and leaving the bag on her ankle. "Just keep it there, ok? I gotta call Natalie since I promised her I would. Call me if you need anything." he said, leaving quickly with a blush that wasn't seen, hopefully.

She nodded as he left. Even though they were siblings, it didn't keep her from having a crush on him. they wern't blood so it wasn't incest. She just hoped she could keep it a secret.

By blood or not, Alex wouldn't feel right. Yawning, he went into his room, laying on his bed and calling Natalie. Despite that he might have some sort of spark for Sami, it wasn't meant to be. They were siblings by paper. Then again, he didn't know if it would be ok to do that. They lived together...

Sami sighed, staying still. Her ankle hurt and didn't want to move it to much.

For a few hours, he had spoken to Natalie, feeling better and definitly much more hyper. Coming into Sami's room, he wanted to check on the bag of ice. "Hey, how ya doing?" he asked, smiling.

"I'm okay." she mumbled. "I'm trying to figure out if I want to call Mike or not."

Alex grunted. Mike, again. "What's to figure out? He seems like a good guy." he shrugged, lifting the small limp bag of ice and looking at her ankle. It was definitely less swollen and red. "You're getting better." he said as he pressed the back of his hand to feel whether it was warm or not. Too warm and it could swell up again.

"No... I'm just trying to figures out what to say to him." She said then looked at him. "Why are you doing that?" She asked, curious.

Alex rolled his eyes. "Just to see if it's too warm. Sometimes we need to cool it off or you're gonna be in a lot of pain, trust me. I twisted my ankle once pretty bad..my mom took good care of it so..." he said, losing the smile and looking sad at that moment.

"My brother once twisted his ankle so bad it looked broken." she said softly. "My mom freaked out... taking him to the hospital. Just a bag of ice and some relaxation would have made the swelling go away." she smiled slightly at the memory of her brother trying to convince their mom not to take him to the doctor.

Alex whistled. "Well, mom's are supposed to freak out. That's their job." he smiled, looking up at Sami. He then lost his smile and looked down, coughing. Here they were, getting along again. But as soon as Mike and Natalie come over, they'll fight. Again. "Anyways, just keep your leg up and uh..call me if you need anything." he said, leaving the room and sighing.

Sami nodded and picked up her phone, calling Mike. She'd make sure he got home okay and that he wasn't to scared about coming over again.

Mike answered, sighing as he was in his room watching TV. "Hey, what's up?" he asked, coughing. He was still feeling embarrassed.

"Hey, you okay?" she asked. "I'm sorry that my dad yelled at you."
