nodding, she closed her eyes, falling asleep. She drifted and her head fell onto his shoulder as she slept.

Before she knew it, Alex was shaking her to wake up. "Hey, we're here, wake up." he said, letting go and getting up once she got off him. He wouldn't admit to blushing the whole time when he realized how close they were.

Sami rubbed her eyes as she got off the bus. It's amazing how a small nap could change how one feels. she felt a lot better, ready to face the day.

Alex sighed, waiting for Sami and once inside, he let her go into their classroom first. "I'll be right back.." he said, glancing over to a group of boys that were glaring dangerously at the two of them. Walking over to them, they spoke amongst themselves, soon walking out of the hallway and outside. Their intentions was unknown..

Sami nodded and watched him walk away as long as she could before she was told to get back into class. She hoped he wasn't going to do anything stupid or get hurt.

Soon the class bell rung, Alex still hadn't come back in. But soon a huge crowd formed outside from the students that were at gym. "Fight, Fight, Fight!" they yelled as Alex was pretty much fighting with the four boys, exchanging punches and even taking them. They had warned him, they had thought that he was getting lucky with a girl that he didn't deserve to be with, that he was a freak. Pretty much stupid reasons to fight for.

Sami pushed herself to the front of the crowd. "Alex!" she yelled. She really wanted to get into the middle of it and stop it

Alex looked over, but soon fell to the ground like a rock once punched and kicked by two others. "You think you're so tough, huh?" one of them laughed, kicking once more, hard, and walking away after all four spat on him. The group separated and only a few teachers came out to confront the students on who started it. He laid on the ground, coughing and not even bothering to get up. "Bastards..."

Sami went to him and sat next to him, letting his head rest in her lap. "Are you okay? Why were you fighting them?"

Alex groaned and sighed, looking away. "They were talking sh*t, especially about you. So, I decided to go and knock their heads off but..I guess I failed at that." he mumbled, sighing again and looking up at Sami. "Angry?"

"At you? Yeah, a little." She said nodding. "I'm the new girl who grew up in Australia. People are going to talk to me." she said.

Alex sighed again, closing his eyes. "Yeah. Anyways, I gotta get up." he muttered, groaning as he tried to sit up. One of the teachers went over to them, pushing him back gently. "Stay here, the nurse will be out soon." the teacher said, sighing and shaking his head.

Sami sighed, keeping Alex's head in her lap. She was getting a little blood on her pants but she didn't care. "Thanks for fighting for me, Alex. " She said softly.

Alex grinned a bit, nodding. "You owe me." he chuckled, really just kidding. He sighed, closing his eyes and breathing deeply. He only had a few cuts and maybe bruises, but most of them were under his clothes on his chest and legs. His face only had a few scrapes. Easily able to hide them, as he always did. "Don't tell Dad..." he mumbled.

She looked down at him, shaking her head. "Alright. I won't tell but I think you should. He's gonna wonder why you have marks on your face." She said, lightly running her finger down the side of his face where a small scrape was.

Alex groaned, sighing. He bit his lip a bit as Sami's finger touched one of his scrapes. It was bright red and it was hot as well, stung like crazy. "Ow.." he mumbled, closing his eyes tightly. He hated little scrapes that hurt so sharply. "I know I'll have to tell Dad, but at least this was for a noble cause.."

She took her finger away from him, that wasn't the reaction she was hopeing for. She was hoping he'd blush as her caring touch. "Yeah... Maybe you won't get into as much trouble." she mumbled.

Alex sighed, sitting up and not hurting as much. He felt sort of hot and numb. "Anyways, just be careful if like, I don't come to school. I tend to get sick at the drop of a hat for some reason." he sighed, rubbing his face. Soon the nurse came out with her kit, looking all over and putting bandages and such, giving him ice as well. She was way overqualified but they hired the lady anyway, she knew her way around. Eventually he had told the nurse that he would tell his dad what happened, the principal hadn't acknowledged the fight, thankfully.

Sami stayed sitting down while Alex got cleaned up. She didn't really know how to feel about the situation. He had fought for her.. but he fought. She'd always been tought that there was always a different way. Maybe that wasn't the truth.

Once done with, they were sent on to class. On the way, Alex sighed, stretching. Feeling sore, hot all over, and also stinging spots all over his body to come along with a headache wasn't all that nice. He glanced over at Sami, coughing. "You're not kinda..embarrassed?"

She looked at him. "Emabarressed about what?"

"Me fighting over something so..little." Alex asked, coughing again out of feeling awkward and looking ahead.

She looked over at him now with a smirk. "You calling me little?" She asked. He might not understand, but, whenever her and her brother would have to apologize to eath other, they would tease and say something that the apology sounded like. In this case, it sounded as if he was calling her little. Weather in her breast cup or in body size or in worth to him, he could decifer for himself. It was basically her and her brothers way of saying it was okay without the akwardness.

Alex snickered and rolled his eyes. "You? Nah, besides that you're shorter than me, you're not little. Then again...eh, nah." he shrugged, pushing Sami over playfully with his shoulder. He didn't really consider her little in worth or anything, just a good friend, a very good friend. She was actually putting up with his awkward personality.

She smiled, happy that he understood that everything was okay. He was a good friend, but she had a crush, so naturally, she wished it would be something more. She decided to tease him a little bit more, just for fun. "So, are you saying I'm big?"
