It's a Love Story

"It's hard when I get nervous around you, though," he admitted.

"Are you nervous now?" she asked, smirking up at him and stepping a little closer so the back of his hand was touching her hip.

He stammered, his face turning pink. "Y-Yes," he admitted, realizing where his hand was.

She giggled and leaned up to kiss his cheek. "Good." she said, stepping away again.

Mike blushed and looked at the rest of her works, too nervous to say anything to her.

After he had browsed his way through the store, she looked up at him. "How long are we here for again?" she asked.

"that's up to you," he told her. "I just have to be back to my little sister by five."

She nodded. "But when are you going home?" she asked.

"In one week," he told her.

She smiled and nodded. "Okay, good."

He smiled and walked out with her once he was done looking at the works of art.

"Is there any where else you want to go before we drive back to the city? Maybe some ice cream or something?" she asked.

"sure. Ice cream sounds nice," he smiled.

She nodded, "Good." she said. "It's this way."

He walked with her in the direction she pointed out, too nervous to take her hand and hold it.

She waited for him to make the first move. She had taken his hand first now she wanted him to reach out for her. He was always so talkative and nice over the phone or internet, now he was shy. She couldn't really make sense of it but thought that it was cute. Still, she lead him to the shop. "What's your favorite flavor of ice cream?" she asked him, moving slowly to open the door to give him a chance to get it for her.

He did open the door for her, a habit of back home. "Chocolate," he smiled. "I'll pay for 'em," he offered, pulling out his wallet.

She nodded and walked in when he opened the door for her. "Just plain chocolate?" she asked.

"Plain ol' fashion chocolate," he chuckled.

"That seems kind of boring." she smiled at him.

"Not boring. Just simple," he chuckled.

"I'm everything but simple." she smirked at him, turning her attention to the ice cream in front of her.

He chuckled and couldn't help but keep looking over at her. He found her beautiful and adorable all rolled into one. "What kind of ice cream do you like," he asked her.

She smiled. "It all depends on what mood I'm in." she said, looking over at him. "what do you say to swiching ice creams? You pick one for me and I'll pick one for you."

"I don't know what mood matches which ice cream, though," he chuckled.
