Jean sniffled softly. "I missed you, too." she whispered softly, nuzzling his cheek. But she wasn't sure if she could fully forgive him for putting her through the dilemna that he might have been dead. "There's a diner near by.. where we can talk.." she whispered softly.

Jean had hardly noticed that it had started to rain. It was still relatively light, though it didn't look like it would stay that way for long. "Alright." she whispered softly, letting him take her over to the barn. They chose to go up in the haylofts where they were less likely to get caught.

Adam took his shirt off to let it dry. He was cut like a diamond!

Jean laid back in one of the piles of hay, sighing softly. It felt nice and warm and had a sweet, oaty scent to it. For a minute she was able to just close her eyes and focus on that warmth and not the hurt that her heart was suffering.

Her breath caught in her throat feeling his warm fingers run against her cheek. As they entangled in her soft red hair, she opened her eyes and looked over at him. "Why did you leave?" Jean asked him softly, her eyes looking sadly into his.

"I wanted you to be happy and I was dragging you down" he said.

"Do I look like I'm happy right now?" Jean whispered softly, looking away from him. She was afraid of falling for him again. He was the only one that she had ever loved. But he had left her for five months, letting her believe that he was dead.

"But I'm not.." she whispered softly. It had been hell going through these past five months thinking that he was dead. That she would never see his sweet smile or beautiful coal black eyes. "When I thought that you were gone, my heart died along with you." she murmured.

"That doesn't meant that I wanted to see you dead." she whispered softly, brushing some hair from his eyes. "Seeing you jump off that cliff just.. destroyed me." Jean murmured. "Why did you think that would fix anything?"

A sigh passed Jean's lips. "The only person who you were dragging through the mood was yourself. You wouldn't get on with your life. Adam, you dropped out of school because of our break up." She stopped only to take in a few breaths, and stare up at the ceiling of the barn. The soft sound of rain drops hitting against the wood calmed her. "And it made me worry about you. More than I was comfortable with."

She looked away from him, shivering slightly. "Hey do you know that you were in love with me?" Jean asked. Even as she said it, she knew that it was a stupid question. Because she knew that she loved him and that her love had been requited.

Jean sighed softly. "But why did you have to ruin your whole life over me? The guilt drove me crazy." It had been one of the reasons why she had asked him to stay with her at her dorm room. Not that her idea had actually gone the way that she had originall planne...

She sighed softly. Jean wanted to shake him hard by the shoulders and tell him to move on. But she knew that he never would, just as she never would. All she could do was sigh and stare at the barn ceiling. "Wow.." she whispered.

"I guess that it was stupid of me to have broken up with you." Jean murmured softly, looking at him with gentle eyes. She had missed him, and she would be lying if she had said otherwise. Brushing hair from his eyes, she gently kissed his forehead. Even when they had been 'friends with benefits', she had felt things for him. Even if she was just realizing it now.

Jean sighed softly, her eyes closing as she allowed herself to kiss him back. What was the point in trying to pretend that she didn't want him to kiss her? With every fiber of her being she wanted and craved it.
