Maurice smiled once he saw Beau coming back with the tea bags, and took them from him. Once he had prepared the tea, he went back to the main room of the small house, and kindly offered his daughter and son-in-law a cup of tea.

" Thank you" Adam said gently.

Belle happily accepted her cup from her father, though she wanted to help him. He was far too stubborn to accept help, especially from his guests. She respected that he was independent, but she did wish that he would ask for help every now and then.

"How is everything at the castle?" Maurice asked. "What brings you all to town?" He knew that his daughter's family did not prefer straying away from the familiarity of their secluded home, deep in the woods. While they tried to visit as much as they could, it still was seldom that they actually went into town.

Maurice smiled. "Well, I'm glad to see all of you." He hadn't really seen them since Christmas, when he had agreed to go over to the castle for Christmas. Maurice knew that it was much nicer than a Christmas at his cottage would ever be.

" We decided to come into town for a bit today. Just to get out and stretch out legs" Beau smiled.

"Hoping to make any friends, Beau?" Maurice asked. He knew that his grandson was quite happy with his mother and father, as well as the several servants and maids at the castle. But he knew that deep down he must have wanted at least one friend that was his age.
