He chuckled and watched them enjoy the human food that he could no longer consume without getting sick.

"So, are you taking her to get her stuff?" Baily asked, tired of the silence.

"I will once she's done eating and taken a shower," Ryder nodded. "She also wants to know if she can bring her dog here. Do you know how dad would feel about that?"

"I don't care how dad feels about it." she smiled. "She can bring her dog."

Ryder chuckled. "Alright. go get your shower," he smiled at Lilli. "Do you remember the way back?"

She nodded. "I-I think so." she said.

"I'll show you just to make sure," he chuckled and stood, walking out.

She nodded, smiling. "I've never been in a house this big." she said.

He chuckled and opened the door to her room. "I'm glad you can enjoy it."

She smirked up at him. "Never said I enjoyed it." she teased.

He chuckled. "Touche."

She smiled. "I really don't need a shower. I took one last night. I'll just change into my clothes and meet you in the kitchen?"

"Alright," he nodded and walked back tot he ktichen.

Baily was still there, cleaning the dishes. "So, do you have any over protective thoughts and feelings towards this girl?" she asked.

He nodded. "I feel protective of her," he admitted.

She nodded. "Like you want to stand outside her door and make sure nothing get's her?" she asked.

He nodded. "Yeah, like that."

She looked at her son, smiling. "She may be your breedmate. Once you find her things move pretty quickly."

Ryder blinked. "Y-You think so," he asked. He didn't know the first thing about being a mate.

She nodded. "I think so. It'll happen really quick, son. It did for me and your dad."

"Do you think I'll be a good mate," he asked his mom after a minute of thinking.

She nodded. "If you're anything like your dad and uncle, you'll be great."

He nodded and smiled a bit.

She smiled and hugged her son. "I'm happy for you."

He smiled and hugged his mom back. "Thanks, mom," he murmured softly.
