It's a Love Story

Rosie laid her back on the hospital bed and let her mom take a look at her baby.

Lilli inspected her and then sat in the chair that Rosie was sitting in, holding her daughter's hand.

Mike came in with more balloons and cards that might make her feel better. "How's she doing," he whispered, not wanting to wake her up.

"They had to reset her bones and they put a cast on her arm, but, she should be able to go home in the morning." jon said, he had been standing in the corner.

Mike nodded. "We're leaving for Rome with Pavo's body," he told them. "We were packing, that's what took us so long, and buying tickets online."

"When are we leaving?" Jon asked.

"The day after tomorrow."

"Did you get a ticket for Ren?" he asked slowly, not wanting to step any boundaries. He just didn't want to leave her alone.

"Of course. And Aiden," he nodded. He knew they'd all need support, so he invited the closest ones to his kids.

Jon nodded. "I think I'm going to go see her." he said softly.

Mike nodded. "If her fever hasn't gone down, go ahead and bring her and we'll see if we can't get her taken care of," Mike told his son gently.

He nodded and left. Later, he knocked on Ren's door and opened it, peeping in. "Ren? Hun, are you awake?"

Ren groaned, turning on her side. "Jon," she croaked. Her throat still hurt a lot. "Why was your mom crying," she asked.

Jon walked into the room and laid down behind her, taking her into his arms and pressing his head into the back of her shoulder. He told her everything, just wanting to cry.

Ren cried, too, for the pain they were going through. She held his arms that held her, wanting to comfort him somehow.

Jon cried, not ashamed that he was. He soon stopped and simply held onto Ren.

When he stopped crying, she turned around to face him and wrap her arms around him to comfort him.

He burried his face in her neck, sighing. "How are you feeling?" he asked softly. She didn't feel as hot as she did earlier.

"My throat still hurts," she whispered, not wanting to try to talk in a normal voice again.

He nodded, pulling back to look at her. "I think you'll be okay to go to Rome in 2 days."

"I'm going, too," she asked.

He nodded. "Pavo was my friend. I'm going to need you."

She nodded, pulling herself closer to him. "I'll be right by your side," she whispered.

He nodded and held her. "thank you Ren." he whispered.

"I'll do anything if I can see you smile again," she whispered, blushing.
