It's a Love Story

Ren blushed. "I... I don't know. If he will be, it would be a long time from now," she said.

"How come?" She asked. "Auntie Lilli had Rosie when she was 18. That's really old....."

Ren laughed. "That's not old at all," she said, shaking her head. "I want to wait to be a mommy. I want to make sure I can take care of my babies," she told her.

Sami laughed and shrugged. "Mommy takes good care of us. And Daddy takes care of Mommy."

Ren smiled and blushed, easily picturing Jon standing next to her while a little one played with its toys.

"Why is your face red?" she asked.

"I'm easily embarrassed," Ren smiled sheepishly, explaining it really the only way she knew how.

She nodded. "Do you like the horses?" she asked.

"I love them," Ren smiled. "They're all so beautiful and well-groomed."

"Daddy say's when I'm older I can get one." she smiled.

Ren smiled, happy for the little girl. God knew her dad would never do anything for her. Well, nothing short of taking her money for his next bottle of booze. "What will your horse look like," she asked.

"I don't know! But I'm going to LOVE IT!" she smiled.

Ren laughed. "I bet you will," she said, smiling.

"You wanna come with me to see if the food is done?" she asked, already starting to climb down the hay stack.

"Sure," Ren smiled, following the girl.

Sami smiled, running to her daddy. "Daddy!" she smiled as she jumped into his arms and he picked her up.

"Hey. Where have you been?" he asked, holding his daughter close.

"With Ren. My new friend. She's Jonny's girl friend! What does that mean?"

Jared laughed. "You'll find out. Hopefully not until you're 30, but you'll find out."

Ren smiled, seeing the father/daughter bond that was obviously strong between the two. "It's nice to meet you," she told Jon's uncle.

Jared smiled, putting Sami down so she could run off towards her grandma as they walked in. "It's nice to meet you also. Welcome to the family."

"Thank you," Ren smiled happily, thankful that Jon had such a welcoming family, every single one of them very friendly.

Michelle smiled and picked up her grandaughter. "Hello, sweetpea! How is my little Sami doing?"

He nodded. "Is Jon still in the stable?" he asked.

Sami smiled brightly, holding onto her grandma's neck. "Good! Daddy says he's going to get me a horse!"

Ren nodded. "He took Timmy on a ride on.. Cloud, I think the horse's name is?"

"Did he, now? That sounds wonderful," Michelle smiled. "What will you name it?"

Jared smiled. "Yes, Cloud. That was his dad's horse when he was a teenager Jon's age." He shrugged. "so, I hear you're staying here."

"I don't know yet. I will when I see the horse though." she smiled.

Ren nodded. "Yeah. Mike and Lilli are letting me stay here," she said, obviously thankful to Jon's parents.

"I bet it'll be the prettiest horse in all the world," michelle smiled at her granddaughter.

Jared nodded. "Those two are pretty special. I think most of the stuff they do is because of Lilli. Mike just makes sure she's happy. Speaking of happy, I have to go find my wife. I hope you'll excuse me." he smiled as he walked away, towards Cassie.

"Of course it will be!" Sami smiled then saw Timmy getting off of the horse with Jon. She wiggled down and then ran towards her twin just as Roman walked out into the back yard.

Ren smiled. "Of course," she said and looked around to find Jon. She smiled at Roman as she passed her, clearly in a good mood.

Cassie smiled at her husband as he approached her. "She's a sweetheart, isn't she," she asked him, talking about Ren.

Timmy got off the horse and ran to his sister as she ran towards him, laughing.

Pavo arrived and parked near where the other cars were, though he made sure the others had room to get out without him needing to move his car. He rang the front door bell, waiting patiently for someone to answer. He brought a rose to give to Roman. One with a white ribbon tied around the stem. It held a significant meaning in his family.
