She nodded. "Alright. Thank you."

He nodded, disregarding her thanks.

She sighed, feeling awkward again. "Alright, well... uhm. thanks." she said again, taking the knife and starting to walk out again.

He nodded and went to go punch the sandbag.

Going to the kitchen, the took the knife and looked at it, testing the sharpness like she had with every other knife. It was sharper than she though and she cut her thumb pretty badly.

((I thought he could smell the blood or whatever, freak out perhaps...))

Niko froze after a few minutes, smelling blood. "Damnit," he growled and went towards the smell. "Fairly, what in the hell did you do," he asked, holding his breath as his fangs emerged at the scent and sight of the crimson liquid. "Are you alright," he asked, grabbing a paper towel and putting pressure on her cut to stop the bleeding.

Fairly nodded, feeling a bit stupid. "Yes, I'm fine. It's just sharper than I thought."

"Were you testing it? Don't answer that," he sighed. "It's not a kitchen knife, Fairly. Of course it's sharp. It's a weapon used for killing."

She nodded, "I know that now... Is it deep?" she asked, wanting to take the napkin off to see it.

He held his breath and gingerly took the paper towel off. "It could be deeper, but you didn't hit a vein. Thank god," he murmured. "Keep applying pressure, though. I'll clean it up."

"It's okay, I'm a big girl. You look like you're in pain." she said.

"Breedmate blood is sweeter than normal humans' blood," he told her. "It's hell of a lot more tempting." He started cleaning up the mess.

"Then why dont you leave?" she asked.

He shrugged. "I can handle it."

"Alright." she shrugged. "Do you have any bandaids here?"

He nodded. "In the top right drawer in the infirmary. Do you remember where it is?"

she nodded. "Yes. I remember." she said, walking out to give him some times to breath.

He finished cleaning and sighed, willing his fangs to recede.

She came back after cleaning and bandaging her thumb. "I'm sorry if I freaked you out."

He shrugged. "It's alright."

"so, this may be a weird question, but, compared to other blood, what does mine taste like?" she asked.

"I didn't taste your blood. But it would taste very good," he told her, his fangs extending again, against his will. Just the thought of the smell drove him nuts.

"Well, you said it would be sweeter. How so?" she asked. She saw his fangs, but didn't flinch away from them.

"Because you're a Breedmate. We're meant to drink from you. Not the other copper-y tasting humans."

She nodded. "Guess that makes sense."
