She sighed. "Damnit..." she mumbled.

"Why are you so against him being protective," he asked.

"No, not at all... I just, now I have to apologize." she said, mumbling the last part.

Damon chuckled softly and walked out of the elevator as the door opened.

"She likes you, you know." Fairly said, watching as he friend cuddled into Damon's embrace.

"I know," Damon said softly, looking down at the Breedmate in his arms. "I... I like her, too," he admitted with a soft smile.

Fairly smiled and patted his shoulder. "Good luck getting her to let go of you." she said, walking out of the elevator and to the room they were given.

He chuckled. "Thanks, I think," he said, walking into the room he'd offered Baily. He laid her down onto the bed gently and covered her up.

She took his hand and sighed, looking up at him from her bed with clear eyes. "Thank you." she said softly.

He blinked. "You're awake. I thought you were sleeping. Did we wake you," he asked softly.

She shook her head. "No. I just now woke up."

"Get some rest. Nikolai and I will be back soon enough," he said softly.

"Where are you going?" She asked, clinging just a bit harder.

"We're blowing a Rogue hideout up tonight," he told her gently.

She sighed and kissed his hand before letting it go. "Be careful."

"I will," he whispered and kissed her forehead gently. "Sleep well," he said and walked out. Was he really falling for her? Everything was still so dangerous...

Baily sighed, shaking her head. She was falling for him and quickly too. She rolled onto her side and fell asleep again.

Fairly went to where she thought she'd find Niko, the surveillance room, and knocked on the door.

Niko was dressed from head to toe in weapons underneath his trench coat, staring at the three screens. "Come in," he said, not moving his gaze.

Fairly walked in and then looked at him, hiding a gasp. "Hi." She said softly.

He looked at her. "You afraid of me now?"

She shook her head. "Why would I be?" She asked. She was a little, only because he looked... scarey.

"You can't fool me, Fairly. I can smell your fear," he looked back at the screens.

She sighed. "I'm only a little scared."

"Fear is fear," he murmured.

Damon opened the door, wearing similar weaponry to Niko. "Ready?"

Nikolai nodded. "Stay here," he told Fairly. "You promised," he reminded her and walked out.

Damon looked at her. "Baily is asleep in her bed. We'll be back soon," he told her and followed Niko to the elevator.

Fairly nodded. "Be careful guys..." she said softly, leaving the room and going to her room with Baily.
