"Don't you mean blowing it up?" Fairly asked, thinking it was funny.

"It's not going up. It's going down," he looked at her. He saw the corners of her mouth turning up. "Are you laughing at me," he asked, his eyebrow raised.

She shook her head. "No. You said you were blowing it down. What are you? The Big Bad Wolf?" Fairly chuckled. "Wouldn't you be blowing it up?"

"You are laughing at me. Fine, we're blowing it up. Satisfied now?"

She nodded and walked out of the Jamba Juice.

"Don't worry about her. She get's grouchy and.... weird when she's had a long day." Baily said to the two warriors.

"Weird doesn't begin to describe it," Niko muttered, walking after Fairly.

Damon sighed, shaking his head. "Their attitudes are so alike - it's almost scary."

Baily thought about it for a moment and then nodded. "This is a little scary." she said softly.

He nodded. "Well... Shall we," he offered her to go ahead of him.

She nodded, and walked out, jogging slightly to catch up to Fairly.

Damon walked after her, his eyes on their surroundings. No Rogues were around this part of town. Not for the moment, anyway.

"What would happen if we were... attacked?" Baily asked, turning around to walk backwards so he could look at the men.

"We would protect you," Damon assured her. "No danger is around here at the moment. You are safe."

"I'm not doubting that. But, protect us how? Stuff us under the car until you're done?" she asked.

"Of course not. You'd wait in the car, then we'd drive you to the compound."

"Oh yes, because waiting in the car is so much safer." Fairly said sarcastically.

Niko rolled his eyes. "Would you rather me use you as a shield from their fangs?"

"Well, I'd rather help." She said.

"How would you help," he asked, eyeing her.

"Any way I could." Fairly said.

"she's the only one who's like that. I would hide." Baily said, looking over at them.

Damon chuckled softly. "That's perfectly acceptable," he told Baily. "No need for a lady to try to act brave."

"No, not brave. Foolish and stupid," Niko corrected Damon, looking at Fairly.

"Well, I fight back when I can." Fairly said, looking at Niko.

"You will, and you'll be devoured in more ways than one by those leeches," Niko told her, looking her in the eye.

"how?" Fairly asked.

"No,I don't want to know..." Baily said, covering her ears.

"They'll suck you dry, or rape you, or both," Nikolai said coldly.

Damon sighed, shaking his head. He put his arm across Baily's shoulders. "Let's get in the car," he murmured.

Fairly nodded. "Well, I like to do whatever I can to stop that from happening."

Baily nodded also, letting herself be led. She didn't want to hear, but she did anyways.
