A Werewolf's Heart Part 1.3

Jon stared at her for a moment before he shifted into his human form, looking away from her. His human form was possibly even more mutilated than his wolf form was. Scars covered him everywhere, making his skin uneven and intimidating-looking.

Olivia's smile slowly went away as she looked over him. "how'd you get all those scars?"

"Fights. Lots of fights," he murmured.

"With who?" she asked, slowly reaching out to touch a scar on his arm.

Sam slowly reached for Brados, scared about what the boy would do to Olivia for touching him and asking him the things she was.

Jon's gaze turned to her hand which touched one of the scars on his arm. "Members of my...old pack. Sometimes kids, sometimes adults."

Brados watched Jon intently. He wouldn't let him hurt Olivia.

Olivia looked at him, shocked. "Grownup's hurt you?" she asked.

"That's what I said, isn't it?"

"I could never imagine any of our grownups attacking us..." she said.

"Yeah, well. Not all packs are as perfect as this one," he mumbled, scratching one of his scars, the one his father gave him.

Olivia nodded. "Well, come with me. You can meet my mommy." she said, a little bit of that smile coming back.

Jon got up without a word and followed her, keeping his head down.

Olivia brought him to her den. "mommy?" she asked softly.

Raini looked up from watching Kendal sleep. "Yes, sweetie," she asked and blinked, seeing the scarred boy

"This is Jon." she said going over to hug her mom. "Uncle Brados said that he should stay with us. I said you and daddy wouldn't really like that." she smiled.

Al went over to Jon, sniffing him. He had to make sure that he was okay to hang around his daughter.

Jon looked down at Al, looking at the fox curiously.

"Wha-... Get your cousins, sweetheart. You all play together with Jon. We need to talk to your aunts and uncles."

Olivia nodded and looked at Al, running her fingers through his fur. "This is Al. Come on. I'll get my cousins and we can show you around. We can play." she smiled, walking out with Jon.

Kendal heard talking and moaned softly, grabbing Raini lightly and pulling her closer. "What's going on?" he mumbled.
