She smiled. "But still..."

He smiled and stroked her hair. "Practice makes perfect with everything," he told her gently. "From horses to drawing."

Horses... "how's splatter?" she asked, looking at him. "I haven't seen her in a few hours."

"All the horses are out of their stables, roaming around the field," George said from the couch. "The gates to the stables are open and they'll go in there once they're ready for bed," he assured her.

She nodded. "Alright." she said, smiling slightly.

Mike kissed her cheek. "We'll go check on her tomorrow and brush 'em. And give them their Christmas presents," he grinned.

"You give horses christmas presents?" She asked.

"Of course. Mostly treats," he smiled. "They're part of the family, too, you know."

She nodded. "No, that makes sense." She smiled.

He smiled and kissed her. "You wanna hear another song?"

"Only if you want to sing another one." She said, smiling at him.

"I can sing all night. What do you wanna hear," he smiled.

"Have you written any songs?" she asked.

"Nah. I'm no good at writing songs," he admitted.

"Aw, byt you're so good at singing..." She said.

He smiled and kissed her softly. "I'll work on something," he promised.

She smiled and nodded, kissing his lips softly. "Thank you. Maybe we can work on it together... I'm good at stuff like that."

He smiled. "Sure, I'd love your help."

She smiled. "We'll do it later."

"Kay," he smiled and kissed her.

Grandma Rose held up her finished stocking. "All done! How do you like it, sweetheart?"

Lilli looked at her and smiled brightly. "Wow... that's amazing!"

She smiled. "I'm glad you like it. This is yours until you come back so I can knit one for you next year."

She smiled more. "You don't have to. This will do fine."

She smiled. "You can expect one anyway."

Mike chuckled. "Grandma Rose doesn't take no for an answer."

She smiled. "And that's okay."
