It's a Love Story

"I don't know how to play..." she said softly.

"You get a hand of cards and you try to get rid of the old maid, in this case, the joker. Whoever has it in their hand by the time all the cards are gone, loses.

"And how do you get rid of cards?" she asked

"You take one card from the other person's hand, then draw a card from the pile. That's why it takes so long," she said.

"Okay." she said. "how many cards?"

"Mikey and I play with seven," she said.

"Okay, then seven it is." she smiled.

Cassie smiled and dealt the cards, looking at her hand. She had her poker face on - she had the joker in her hand.

Lilli had her poker face on also and waited for Cassie make the first move.

Cassie pulled one card from Lilli's hand. "Now you have to draw a card to replace the one I took," she said.

Lilli nodded and did as she was told.

"Now you take one of my cards."

She nodded and smiled. They played for a while until Mike came back in and she smiled up at him. "Hey baby."

Mike smiled and laid her food in front of her, kissing her softly. "Hey. Having fun?"

She nodded and kissed his cheek. "Thank you for cooking for me."she smiled. "You wanna take my hand so I can eat?"

He smiled. "Sure," he said and took the cards, sitting next to her and facing his sister, continuing with the game.

Lilli took a bite and smiled. "Mhh... my man can cook." she said and leaned over to kiss his cheek.

He smiled. "I'm glad you like it," he kissed her softly as the game was beginning to near its end.

She smiled and kept eating it. "When do you think Grandma Rose will be here?"

He smiled. "Any minute now." He saw headlights flash through the window. "Or any second," he chuckled.

she smiled and adjusted the ice on her shoulder. "If this wasn't totally necessary, I'd take the ice off, it's cold..."

Mike took the ice off her shoulder and put a blanket around her shoulders. "that better?"

She smiled and nodded. "Much better."

He smiled and kissed her.

She smiled and bit his lips teasingly right as Grandma Rose walked in.

((Lol. I'm evil. How embarrassing for Mike if his grandma said something about that bite. ^^))
