Finally a home~ Private

As Joshua was in the living room, having put on some Disney for Jonathan, he thought about a third kid. But, he couldn't see it happening in the near future. Not yet. They already had enough with two. With three, hell, they won't have any time alone. At all. Once they came in as well, he smiled at Marley and Ilane.

She smiled, sitting down next to him and crossing her legs. "We're going to know every disney movie by heart." she said, letting Ilane sit in her lap.

Joshua grinned, nodding. "Oh yeah, maybe." he said, chuckling as he looked back at the TV and then at Ilane and Jonathan. One more didn't seem that bad....But for now, they were enough. In a few years, they could try again.

Marley smiled at him, leaning over to kiss Joshua's lips.

Joshua kissed Marley, smiling. "I might give ya another baby, but, wait a while, ok?" he said softly, nuzzling her neck.

She nodded, kissing his cheek. "Alright." she said softly. "Just so long as I have you. I wouldn't know what to do if I lost you."

Joshua nodded, kissing her head. "I know baby, I know. I'd be lost without you too." he smiled, kissing her softly before Jonathan began to whine.

Marley playfully glared at her son and sighed. "I can nuzzle daddy if I want." she said playfully.

Joshua laughed, shaking his head. "I doubt he's whining over that." he said, smiling. Jonathan looked over at Ilane, staring. "Hm, they seem to get along pretty well, have you noticed?"

"They're still babies. They don't know what's going on." she smiled.

"Eh, just wait til they're one." Joshua winked. He sighed, rubbing the babies heads and smiling. "So, what are you hoping for the next one?" he asked.

She shrugged. "I don't really care."

Four years later, Jonathan and Ilane were attending kindergarten. Joshua was still the pediatrician and was getting promoted, too. Still, once getting home and picking up his baby boy, he sighed. His face was pale and his nose and eyes looked weary. "Could you get mommy for me?" he asked weakly, his son nodding and rushing off to get Marley. "Mommy, daddy wants you." he said, hugging her leg.

Marley was doing a painting. She had gotten a new job, mosltly self motivated. She sold her work to whomever wanted to buy it. she looked down at her son and smiled, patting his head. "Alright." He said. "Go help your sister with her homework." she said, putting her paint brushes away. She made her way to Joshua.

Jonathan nodded, sighing. He always had to help Ilane out, but he didn't mind. Joshua smiled weakly, looking up at his wife and sighing. "My...My mom.." he said, his lips quivering and his eyes starting to water. "Sh....She died this morning." he muttered, chuckling weakly and ending up on his knees, holding his face and shuddering. He soon broke out into a quiet sob, his body shaking.

Marley rushed to him, dropping to her knees as well and hugging her husband tightly, letting him cry into her shoulder. She cried softly as well. Elizabeth was like a mother to him.

Joshua tried not to be loud, which would alarm the kids. Though, he already guessed they would know already. Shawn however was the one needing a shoulder the most. He had to make the arrangements, everything. Joshua however volunteered to help him out, they both needed help. "I gotta help my dad with arrangements and such..so..I'll be gone this weekend, ok?" he said, sniffing and rubbing his face as he kissed her cheek.

"Do you want me to go with you?" she asked, her arms still around him. she wanted to just break down crying but, needed to be strong for him.

Joshua shook his head, sighing. "No, you need to be here for the kids. This'll hit them harder than anything..you know that." he said, clearing his throat and hugging her close. "So, when will we tell them? Now?" he asked weakly, afraid of how they would react.

She shook her head. "No... I'll tell them when you leave." she said. This scared her. She only had her kids, Joshua and Shawn. Only four people of her family left. Her life, it seemed, was more death than actual life.

Joshua sighed, nuzzling her neck. "I love you...so much." he whispered, kissing her cheek and standing up. "Mom! I donno how to do this!" Jonathan yelled from Ilane's room. He only knew so much! Joshua chuckled, sighing again. "I just need some good coffee, go help em out babe." he smiled, caressing her cheek and going into the kitchen to get some caffeine in him.

"Alright! Hold on!" Marley called back. The kids were only in kindergarten and working on letters and numbers. Still, that was hard for a 4 year old. Marley went with Joshua. "do you want me to tell them now or wait?" she asked him softly.

Joshua grunted. "At dinner, ok? For now, let's concentrate on other things." he said, rubbing her head and smiling. "Go on." he added as he started to make coffee from the coffeemaker.
