Me and Steph only!!!

"I...well, yeah, that would most definitely let me taste whatever's in your blood but, I doubt it'd be the same as eating the actual thing. Your blood would only taste..sweeter." Matthew explained, feeling his fangs ache a bit. Just the mention of taste was enough to get him going. Damn it. "Anyways, worry about yourself, I'm fine." he said, smiling as the waiter then came back with her order.

She nodded and thanked the waiter and started eating the sweet breakfast food she'd ordered - probably her favorite food altogether. She finished about 3/4 of it before she was full and sat back, drinking her water to wash it all down. "Phew, I'm stuffed," she smiled.

"Alright then, any other destinations in mind?" Matthew asked, at least trying to entertain her before he was to go to sleep again. He was sure that she could defend herself during the day, especially with her ability.

She thought a minute and shook her head. "Nope, not really. What about you," she asked.

Matthew shook his head, checking his Rolex and asking for a check. "I guess we'll go home then." he smiled, taking out his wallet and waiting for the waiter to come by with the check book. "So, enjoy your evening I hope?"

She frowned, taking out her wallet. "I'm paying, remember? And yes, I enjoyed my evening very much, thank you," she smiled.

Matthew grunted, putting his wallet away. "Habit. But uh, that's good." he smiled sheepishly, sighing as the waiter came by with the bill. He looked at it, then back at her. She was independent, but then again...it was so cheap! Why fuss over it?

She put cash in the bill jacket thing and told the waiter to keep the change as the tip. "I'm ready," she smiled at Matthew, grabbing her jacket and slipping it on.

Matthew nodded, nodding towards the waiter who walked away rather quickly. He opened the door for her and left towards his car, stopping at the door to the vehicle. "Get inside...now" he ordered harshly, his eyes glistening with red as he felt a danger come towards them. He turned, staring into the thickness of the forest that was unfortunately across the road and beside the restaurant. A few eyes flashed red back at him, but theirs were much more menacing, evil.

She blinked, wondering why his tone was so harsh, but she obeyed and got inside the car, following his gaze. She nearly shrank back, looking back up at Matthew worriedly, and scared.

Within the seconds that she took to get into the car and look up, Matthew was gone. But you could hear hissing and screams of pain and hate. He had thrown himself into a battle of immortals, something not to be disturbed and involved in, breedmate or not. She wouldn't be able to survive longer than a few minutes. He wasn't about to be so foolish and risk that. Finally, he had at least gotten rid of one, but the other two chased him as he got out of the forest to expose them. He was already bloody, his shirt having rips and his face having a few scratches. He ran to the car, opening the door and handing Jazmine the keys. "Go! Go back to my place and don't look back!" he hissed quietly as he closed the door and had the two rogues follow after him.

She took the keys, jammed them into the ignition, and started the car, the tires squealing as she pulled out onto the road towards his apartment.

God I hope she makes it at least. He never felt so nervous and uneasy before. Even with his life pouring out of him like a fountain from the many scratches, Matthew only cared about her safety. With the screeching and howling of the two rogues behind him, he once again took their battle to the darkness of the trees that surrounded them. Many jabs, bites, scratches and stabbings just by their very nails that grew outward, Matthew barely escaped with his flesh intact. It took over just an hour of this agony, and already by the time he got to his apartment building he was exhausted and about to collapse. He thudded against the door, knocking lightly. "Ja...Jazmine.." he said softly, biting his lip hard to keep from groaning.

Jasmine looked through the peephole and opened the door. "My god, Matthew, are you alright," she asked, helping him inside and closing and locking the doors behind him.

Matthew winced sharply, pulling away from her and collapsing on the couch. "D-Don't touch me...aw sh*t." he cursed, taking off his shirt and shuddering. The rogues are pretty rough with their own, which is sad and only made their marks on him sting more. "Those little bastards..god..they tried to follow us until I smelled their stench..." he mumbled, laying on his back and panting. His body ached for blood, but he didn't want it. "In the fridge..just pour the blood from the raw meat inside the freezer into a glass..I need something to be able to heal at all.." he begged, refusing to accept human blood at the moment. It'll be like being a damn vegetarian, but he couldn't bare to make Jasmine weak as he is.

She frowned, worried about him. "Alright. Try to relax. I'm going to turn up the heat, too," she said, not sure if he was able to go into shock or not. She turned the thermostat to the highest it would go and squeezed the blood from the frozen meat in the fridge, ignoring the cold against her hands, and came back with the glass soon. "Do you need help sitting up," she asked gently.

Matthew shook his head, starting to feel dizzy and..hungry. Once he smelled the animal's blood, he sat up and took the glass slowly. He thanked her, shaking his head and drinking it greedily. It tasted like sour vinegar, the worst kind. It was nothing compared to warm human blood, but it was something. She obviously wasn't thinking about offering him blood, so why should he ask for it? They weren't mates.."Did anything follow you?" he asked, looking up at her as he licked the blood from his mouth.

She was thinking about offering him blood. Especially when she saw his nose wrinkle as he greedily drank the melted blood from the freezer. "No. No one followed me," she told him gently, trying to keep him relaxed. "Don't be afraid to ask me for blood if you need more. You look like you went through a paper shredder that was ran over by a train."

Matthew felt his body stiffen and his fangs start to ache along with a longing to accept her offer. Blood. Fresh and willing blood plus the warmth of a woman to accompany it. It was a sweet and tender idea and yet torturous. He bit his lip hard, looking up at her with sharp eyes. "I wish that was what I went through, but really..those rogues, they're as ruthless as they are cunning. They almost succeeded had I not sent you back here. I would've worried too much. As far as I can tell, I think the rest would follow my scent here, I'd have to heal quickly and take you to a safe haven here in the outskirts of the city..." he said, his throat burning as the animal's blood was still making it's way down his throat.

She frowned, hating that he was getting hurt because of her. "You don't have to worry about me. I have my ability, remember- oh, wait!" She bit her lip after stopping herself. She'd never tried to heal someone before. She wasn't sure if it would work. "I can try to heal you, but I'm not sure if it will work," she admitted. Why it took her so long to think of her "talent", she had no clue.

Matthew grunted. He had forgotten amidst all the pains and aches he felt. "Would it heal the dead? Because so far, I belive it'd only work on people that breathe." he chuckled, shaking his head. He had no clue whether it was worth a try, but it was better than bleeding her of her life through a bite. "You can try, Jasmine, but if it doesn't work..I suggest that you don't cut yourself today on anything.." he muttered, straightening in posture. "Go ahead.."

She was tempted, but she said nothing and put her hand over his cuts, concentrating as she closed her eyes. She felt her fingers tingle with a different kind of power than she used them for killing. As she imagined his wounds closing, the scars disappearing, she moved her hand over his other injuries and did the same thing. Finally, she let out her held breath and opened her eyes. He was still bloody, but his injuries were gone. She felt a little lightheaded, but it wasn't nearly as bad as if she would have done the opposite to him.

Matthew felt his muscles stiffen under the enormous pressure that he felt on his cuts and gashes. He felt them slowly close, as if someone were stitching them but with a carefulness of a surgeon. It felt...nice. Safe. Once done, he too felt a bit light headed, but not as severely as she did. "Thank you.." he muttered, having her sit down. "Thirsty?" he asked as he slowly got up himself. At least his hunger for blood had decreased, but with the way she smelled, it was almost sinful to imagine.

"A little bit. Are you still hurting," she asked, not sure if it had worked all the way.

Matthew sighed, shaking his head. "No, it only stings now. It's a hell of a lot better than I felt earlier..thank you." he said again, going to the fridge and taking out a bottle of water. He handed it to Jasmine after sitting beside her, leaning against the couch and closing his eyes. His head felt like it was spinning, and he hated it.
