Alex smiled, caressing her cheek and sighing. "I'm glad to be back...and out of the service." he grinned.

She smiled. "And to be my body guard."

"Yeah, which is a given when I married you." Alex grinned, sighing as traffic started to pile up ahead.

"Don't worry about the traffic." she said, hearing his sigh. "We're not suppose to be there until later."

"Yeah, I guess.." Alex muttered, sighing again as the traffic slowly moved forward.

"Don't worry." she said again, kissing his cheek.

Alex yawned, continuing down the road along with traffic.

Sami sighed, reaching into her bag for a snack. "It would be better if we could just cruise along though..."

"Yeah, but I guess this isn't too bad. Gives us time together before you have to isolate yourself at the recording studio." Alex laughed, grinning.

She smiled and nodded. "I suppose you're right."

Alex looked over, wondering what her snack was. "Hey, gimme some." he frowned.

She smiled, showing the bag of chips and offering him the opening. "Sorry."

Alex then opened his mouth. "Feed me? I'm driving." he said, chuckling as he kept driving at a slow pace.

"They're only chips babe, and you're driving slow." she smiled.

Alex sighed, reaching in with one hand and stuffing his mouth with the chips. "Fine. I'll get the steering wheel all greasy."

"It's not like we don't have a whole bunch of baby wipes." she smiled.

"Yeah, yeah, I gotcha. Sheesh." Alex chuckled, winking as he drove.

She smiled and leaned over to kiss his cheek.

Before they knew it, the silence was over and Sami had gotten a call from her agent. Alex of course didn't like it since it took the fun out of their personal field trip, but he shrugged and continued on down the road, only a few hours away.

Sami argued slightly on the fact that they were taking a road trip and not getting there fast with a plane. She didn't care, she wanted to be with Alex before she got so busy again.

Obviously the agent wasn't happy but knew that she had to spend time with family. If not, she could burn out with exhaustion in trying to just keep up with family. Once the conversation was over, Alex sighed. "Damn, they really like to harass you."

She nodded, turning her phone on silent. "He has to put off some meetings and rearrange things, but oh well. I'm one of their most important clients, so they'll do it."

Alex chuckled. "It's nice to know though that they listen. Especially your agent."

She smiled at him. "I'm important." she chuckled.

"Yeah, but still..they can be stingy." Alex shrugged, stopping at a gas station as he caught a whiff. "I think Ryder needs a new diaper.." he mumbled as he saw the sleeping baby moving a bit.
