He shook his head. "I have enough food for the week, if we eat light." He kissed her cheek.

She nodded and started to drive back to his house.

He rode in silence, trying to plan out how they were going to work this exactly.

When they got to his house she got out and helped him. "Well....I could paint Neverland in the spare room...without Hope finding out I suppose..." she said quietly.

He got into his wheelchair and wheeled inside. "You could," he agreed, trying to get her to cheer up a little.

She sat on his couch and sighed.

"Are you hungry, honey," he asked, wheeling up to her and taking her hand.

"Yeah..." she realized sighing and looking down.

He kissed her hand, squeezing it gently. "What do you want? Frozen dinner? Sandwich? Hot dog?"

"That frozen dinner mac and cheese looked good..." she said quietly.

"Okay, I'll make that for you," he smiled softly and wheeled himself to the freezer to get the frozen dinner out. When it was done cooking, he put a fork in it and wheeled it to her. "Here you go, honey," he said.

She curled up on the couch and started to eat it resting it on her lap to keep her thighs warm.

He looked at her worriedly. "Jamie, honey, we're gonna be fine," he told her gently. "You trust me, don't you?"

She nodded taking a bite of her macaroni and accidentally burning her tongue.

He got her a glass of ice water and handed it to her. "It's hot, sweetheart," he said gently.

She just nodded and took the water from him gulping it down.

He kept his hand on her knee gently, trying to calm her down.

She looked at him sadly and gently, trying not to cry again.

He took her hand and stroked it with his thumb, flipping on the TV and skimming through the channels.

She laid her head on his shoulder and sighed blowing on her macaroni gently to try and cool it down.

He stayed calm, hoping it helped keep her from getting too upset.

She at her macaroni silently as a few tears rolled down her cheeks. She didn't want to attract attention again.

He rubbed his thumb over her hand as he finally settled on the national geographic channel, which was going on about the grand canyon.

She watched quietly squeezing his hand lightly.

A similar show came on after, about sea life. Chad stayed quiet, watching TV and relaxing on the couch.
