He chuckled, looking around. 'I spy, with my little eye, something.... Blue."

She looked around thinking "Mom's coat?"

Jamie just chuckled a little and smiled.

He smiled and shook his head. "Not mommy's coat." He kept his eyes from going to the blue break in the clouds.

"The car in front of us?" she asked pointing.

"Not the car in front of us," he smiled.

She thought for a couple more seconds until asking "They sky?"

"Yep," he smiled. "Your turn, sweetie."

"Hmmmm...." she looked around in the car for a good minute before finding something, "I spy with my little eye something round!"

"The steering wheel," he guessed.

"....yes." she pouted crossing her arms against her chest.

He looked at Jamie. "Do you want to play, Mommy?"

"Hmmm....mommy's driving but I guess I could, I spy something yellow." she said.

"Hmm... I dunno. What do you think, Hope," he looked back at her. "Do you see anything yellow?"

"The sun!" she said pointing out the window.

"Nope." she smiled.

"Hmm... That car," he asked, nodding to a couple cars in front of him.

"Nope, but you're getting closer...it's on the road..." she smiled.

He looked back at Hope. "I'm stumped on that one. What do you think," he asked her. He figured it was the yellow lines on the road, but he wanted Hope to win this round.

"I don't know..." she said looking around.
Jamie smiled, "Did I stump the both of you?"

"You got me," Chad sighed, pouting.

"The lines on the road." she smiled triumphantly then sighed as she saw the sign saying they were leaving the town and entering their parents town. "Almost there Hope." she said smiling softly.

Chad sighed softly, looking out the window.

A couple more rounds of I spy later she pulled into her parent's driveway. Hope ran out and knocked on the door eagerly while Jamie went and got Chad's wheelchair out of the back and helped him into it. "Just to warn you....they'll probably be pissed that your here." she whispered in his ear.

"Yeah... I'm nearly prepared for the worst," he whispered back, getting settled in his chair. "Nearly..."

She kissed him quickly before starting to roll him towards the door as her parents opened the door for Hope. She couldn't look her parents in they eye, not directly. She said she was NEVER coming back. She rested her hand on his shoulder.

He put his hand up on hers, squeezing it gently, looking up at her parents in the eye to show he wasn't afraid.
