Chad got himself comfortable and relaxed into the couch. "Have a lot of homework?"

"Yeah..." she said softly.

"I'd offer to help but I don't know if I'd know anything," he told her, kissing her softly.

She chuckled a little as he managed to make her smile "It's alright, hun."

"You want me to get you anything?"

"I'm a little hungry but I'll get something later." she said quietly opening her book.

"Would I be bothering you if I laid my head in your lap," he asked her gently. He was still tired.

"No, you can go ahead." she said smiling a little.

He kissed her cheek and laid his head down on her lap, closing his eyes and letting out a sigh as he relaxed and dozed off.

She smiled softly and started to read.

Chad snored softly.

She looked down and ran a hand through his hair gently.

This soothed him, letting him relax into a deeper sleep. One where he could completely escape his pain.

She smiled gently as she turned another page and took some notes. His head in her lap kept her warm.

Chad didn't snore, but slept quietly and soundly, nearly unmoving save for the gentle rise and fall of his chest as he dreamed of them and their daughter.

She watched him for a bit smiling to herself.

He woke up after about an hour and a half, yawning. "Mmm... Morning," he smiled up at her.

"Not morning you silly." she chuckled in a better mood from when she initially arrived "It's sorta more like...late afternoon, evening." she said and bent down to kiss his forhead.

He chuckled and reached up to kiss her. "I love you."

"Love you to Chad." Jamie smiled and stroked his cheek.

He smiled and leaned into her hand.

She looked down at him and caressed his cheek. "How's your leg doing?"

"It doesn't hurt," he smiled up at her, taking her hand and holding it to his cheek.

She smiled a bit "thats good."

He smiled and squeezed her hand gently. "I'm kinda thirsty. Do you want anything," he asked her, getting up and manuvering himself into his wheelchair.
