"Hey hun, brought your medicine to you." she kissed him lightly on the forhead. "I'll be back after classes alright? if you need me text me alright?"

He kissed her cheek. "Thank you, love Have a good day," he told her.

"You too hun, I'll be back later." she said and walked out the door and ddrove to her next class.

He took his pills and went to the couch, getting up onto it and relaxing.

She took her classes and sighed, bored. Lonely, knowing when she went back to her dorm for lunch that Hope wasn't going to be there waiting for.

Chad got tired of the repeating show and flipped through the channels. He missed his daughter terribly. It hurt that she wasn't there to wake her and Jamie up, but he had to keep reminding himself that it was to keep her from their lack of money. Hope had to be happy and safe at all costs.

She got to her dorm after class and went to her room closing the door behind her, she laid on her daughter's bed and cried, she'd never been separated from Hope this long, not even close.

Chad had fallen asleep on the couch, crashed from his medicine.

Eventually she got controll over herself and sat up going to the fridge to get something to eat for lunch.

Chad still slept, snoring loudly in the silence of his apartment.

When she was done eating and her classes were finally over for the day she grabbed some clothes and her books and homework, going back to his place.

He was still sleeping when she got home, his head lolled back onto the arm of the chair.

It was then she realized she didnt have a key to the house. She knocked on the door embarrassed.

He jumped and blinked open his eyes groggily. "Hmm...?"

"Can you let me in?" she asked sheepishly.

"Wha... Jamie?" he asked, forcing himself to focus through the cloud of sleep and drugs in his head.

"Could you let me in?" she asked louder moving the door handle to show him it was locked and she couldn't get in.

"Huh? Oh. Yeah, coming," he said, clumbsily getting into his wheelchair, wincing as he hurt his leg, and went to unlock the door.

"I'm sorry." she said apologetically. "Do you need anything? Ice? Or ...whatever?"

"Maybe ice," he winced as his leg throbbed.

She nodded and got an ice pack and wrapped it around a thin towel "Hear you go, hun, I'm sorry. I should've asked if you had a spare key."

"It's okay, honey, really," he said, putting the ice pack on his leg where it hurt the most. "You can have my key in the meantime. Not like I'm going anywhere," he smiled.

He kissed her back and went to go get her the key before he got back up on the couch. "How was school, honey?"

"Eeehhh, it was alright." she sighed smiling a little as she took the key from him
