" Thank you" he said gently

He nodded, looking at Alex curiously. She was sleeping in Bryan's arms, tired from the ride over.

" She's tired" he said sheepishly

"As she should be, I hear," he murmured gently and drew back the blankets so he could lay her in the bed. "I will go hunting when you need me to. I assume you'd lot like her to drink human blood."

" Or animal" he said gently

"You don't want her drinking blood at all," he asked, confused.

Alice shook her head, pulling out a blood packet. "We'll feed her these. I can get more from Carlisle when we need more."

" I don't want people dying" he told him

"Or animals, apparently," Nahuel murmured, still confused. He thought these golden-eyed vampires drank animal blood.

Alex sighed, waking up, rubbing her eyes. She blinked them open and sat up, looking around. She had no idea where she was.

" No no I meant I want her to drink animal blood. I'm gonna try to wean her." he said gently.




Jake was laying under the stars breathing out softly. Sometimes it felt good being alone now and then, just to think. But little did he realize his life would be changing once he gave himself to Leah that he would not only be her mate but that they would cause a disturbance within the pack Jake dissolved from. Because they would be concidered a threat and jake knew that alot of them would come to his side, it was only through persiuasion that Jake made them stay with Sam. Jake didn't want that mantle of being the leader, but he would soon find himself just that and he would realize that Leah would mean much more to him in due time.

Alex frowned, getting up out of the bed and walking outside. She relaxed when she saw Bryan and walked up to him. "How long have we been here," she asked.

Leah raced in the circle they had made when Bella was pregnant with Nessie. She ran it alone, just thinking and stretching her muscles.

" A few hours" bryan said gently



Jake sung gently as he watched the stars.

"I'm hungry again," she sighed. "At least I kept the toast down..."

Leah ran until she got tired and trotted over to where Jake was laying down and laid down next to him, stretching.

" What are you hungry for" he asked.



" Have a nice run" he asked smiling.

"I don't know..." she said. "Anything would do at this point," she grumbled.

Leah smiled back. "Yes. It was wonderful."

" What would you reccommened" he asked alice. " What did bella like?"



": I 'm glad" he kissed her gently

She smiled and kissed him back softly.

Alice looked at her and looked back up at him. "She liked eggs because she wasn't able to hold down anything else. Eventually, even eggs was too much on her stomach."

Jake smiled and cuddled her gently.



" Ok": he said gently

Leah smiled and nuzzled him, cuddling close. "I love you, Jake," she murmured softly.

"Let's try eggs, then," Alex sighed, grumbling over her empty stomach.

"I love you too" he kissed her cheek.

She smiled happily, hugging him.

" What are you thinking" he asked gently

"Nothing, really. I'm just happy," she smiled at him. "What about you?"

" just looking at the stars" he said.

She looked up at them and smiled. "They're pretty tonight."

" That they are" he smiled gently.
