"Blew it up," Niko told her. "Killed everything in there but him."

"So we... inturpted their plans." she said softly, looking at the man. "Could he really be my breedmate?"

Niko looked at the breedmate birthmark over the young man's heart. "He could be, sweetheart. But it doesn't mean that he is. Don't force him into anything. God knows how long he's been there against his will."

She nodded, watching the man sleep. "I wont."

He kissed the top of her head. "I'm going to go see your mother. Come get me if anything happens."

She nodded. "I'll be there in a flash." she said with a slight smile.

He nodded and let her be, going to see his mate.

Several hours later, the boy's mind woke up before his body. He knew he was somewhere warm and in a somewhat comfortable bed. It smelled kind of like a hospital. Confused, he opened his eyes and looked around, startled to find a girl there. A beautiful girl around his age, maybe.

Olivia stood, seeing the boy was awake. "Don't be scared. You're safe." she said softly.

He sat up, startled to find that there was no pain in his movements. It just felt like he'd been asleep instead of unconscious. "Where am I," he asked, his voice rough from the abuse he'd received the past few years. It'd been a long while since he'd even spoken. His voice sounded alien to him.

"Safe." Olivia said again, standing and moving a little closer to him. "Uhm. In my family's home. We rescued you. My father and uncle did."

He looked around and huffed. "You have a hospital in your home," he asked, suspicious and wary. "And how in the hell did your dad and uncle save me from those monsters?"

"Uhm.. Stay right here, I'll be back." she said softly then disappeared, going to her dad. "Daddy? He's awake and asking questions that I don't know if I should answer."

"Be right back my ass," he muttered and stood. He was still weak, but at least able to walk without difficulty. He walked around the hospital room, still contemplating death. He'd been taken from one dungeon to another, he could see that now. No windows anywhere. The only difference was, this place was much lighter. He needed answers before he would act, however. He took a syringe filled with enough sedatives to kill him and hid it in the blanket that covered him.

Olivia walked in with Niko, already feeling that something was different about this man. He was hiding something. She picked up on feelings esaily no matter who the person was.

Niko smiled at the young man. "How was your rest?"

"Fine," he shrugged, wary of them. "Where the hell am I?"

"You are safe in our compound. Free to stay or go as you please," Niko said, sure to say he was free.

He narrowed his eyes. "How did you save me? Those freaks were stronger than anything I'd seen."

"You are a Breedmate-"

"I know all that sh*t! Who the f*ck are you people," he demanded.

"We are the Order, the ones that protect the vampires' secret, and protect the humans from the Rogues," Niko told him honestly.

He couldn't help but believe that part. "Why did it take you so long to get there? I was there for five years," he frowned. "Five f*cking years of being bled over and over and over again, having experiments done to me and putting up with those disgusting monsters and their lusts..." he shuddered in disgust.

"We didn't know you existed until just reciently." Olivia answered softly from behind her father.

"Earlier this morning, in fact," Niko specified, frowning at the horrid range of tortures the boy had to go through. Male or not, he was a breedmate and should NOT be treated like that. "You look starved. Come, meet the others. Only four more," he said, seeing the boy was hesitant to meet anymore people. "My mate, Damon, and his mate and son."

The boy nodded and accepted the clothes Niko gave him, changing before he followed them to the dining hall where Ryder was standing by his mother protectively while she readied the table for dinner.

"what is your name?" Olivia asked softly, looking up at the man as she walked next to him.

The question made him think. He hadn't heard his name in over five years. "Evan," he answered finally. "My name is Evan."

she smiled at him. "I'm Olivia." she said, nodding slightly.

Evan nodded.

They arrived in the dining hall, attracting everyone's attention.

Evan looked away, hating the attention. He would have been happy being ignored.

"hi!" Baily smiled, always polite. "You look like you're literally starving! Eat up, there's lots here."

Niko went to go sit by his mate and watch her eat.

Evan made his way over to the table, his mouth watering at the delicious-smelling food. His stomach turned in knots in anticipation of the wondrous meal to come.

Fairly smiled at him, taking his hand and kissing his palm.

Olivia sat next to Evan, eating a little. She liked strong flavored foods when she ate normal, human food.

Evan wolfed down his fill and leaned back in the chair, sighing as his stomach began digesting.
