Finally a home~ Private

"I'll go make you a lunch." she whispered, wiggling out of his arms. She kissed his forehead and patted her thigh for Max to follow. "I love you." She said, closing the door quietly.

Joshua groaned, but sighed. He knew that at least Marley meant well. "Night, love ya." he said, chuckling and falling asleep. Max barked, following after her obediently.

She smiled, going down stairs, smiling happily at Elizabeth who was making breakfast. "Good morning." She said, it was obvious that her mood had changed since the last couple days, she was way more happise.

Elizabeth chuckled. "I take it you guys made up?" she asked as she flipped a pancake out of the many that were on a plate beside her on the counter. Eleanor was already having her breakfast at the table, smiling. "Yes, that's why she looks so bright." she added.

Marley smiled, getting a lunch box down for Joshua. "We made up. We're going to try harder to make our lives work. and I have surprises for him for our anniversary tomorrow. He had no idea it even is our anniversary."

Eleanor raised a brow. "Surprises? Does this mean we have to get out of the house for a while?" she asked, giggling. She remembered having surprises for her husband as well, though they were sweet ones like a romantic dinner and such. Elizabeth only smiled, nostalgia filling her mind. Soon her husband would come back, in just a few months. For good.

she shook her head. "I got Joshua's bank account number a while ago and have been putting money away. We're going to a nice hotel and we're going to have dinner in a nice restaurant. I'm going to show him that I got my GED and also got accepted to a really good art school."

"Ah, well that's nice." Elizabeth said, smiling. Eleanor was more than proud of her little girl. "Joshua should definitely be in for a surprise." she said, chuckling. Max barked and whined. "Hungry, huh?" Elizabeth mused, pouring dog food into his bowl.

Marley smiled, getting sandwich stuff out of the fridge. "Yeah, I'm really excited for tonight. I was actually hopeing that... well, the three of us could go out and help me..." she turned a little red. "Pick out some sexy lingerie."

Elizabeth blushed, wondering why she would need help. Still, Eleanor only snickered. "Wow, um..well, I guess it would be ok. We're all girls." Elizabeth mumbled, sighing. Eleanor only nodded silently as she kept from giggling.

"I can do it my self if you two don't want to." She said, looking up from the sandwich she was making to look at her mother in law, and grandma.

"Oh nah, we're all married women, well, two of us but still, we can handle it." Eleanor laughed, shaking her head. Elizabeth only smiled in approval. They were married, so she had no problems. "We could always go once Joshua leaves for work though."

Marley smiled, going back to Joshua's lunch. things were going well again. she was as happy as ever and completely in love.

((I'm thinking that the girls get in a really bad car accident, putting Marley in critical condition.))

Once it was half hour before twelve, his cellphone's alarm rang loudly. Joshua sighed, rubbing his face and getting up. "Time for work.." he muttered, sighing again and started to get dressed for work. Once done, he went downstairs, seeing a packed lunch for him. "Heh, Marley....Man, I'm lucky." he nodded, smiling.

((Or maybe not... They deserve one nice night together.))


Marley and the other two girls were already out, but she had put a note in his lunch box. It was written in nice, cursive writing.

Momma, your mom and I are out shopping. I'll miss you while you're at work. Call me during your break and try to sleep. I don't want you hurting yourself while you're asleep or worse, getting fired. Have a nice day sweetie. I love you

Well, once he had even gotten in the truck, he looked inside the lunch box. But seeing the little note made him smile. "Wow, I wonder what she'll be shopping for." he chuckled, closing the lunch box and driving off to Walmart. Yay....Still, his arm hadn't stung as much as it used to, which made his drive all the more easier.

((Yes, yes it can. I'm gonna skip to the next day.))

Marley gave Joshua a paper with directions to the hotel on it. Joshua grunted, getting frustrated indeed. "Aw what the hell?" he hissed, then seeing the hotel a couple of blocks away. "Wow....Sheesh, Marley sure doesn't know how to put down directions." he mumbled, parking in the lot and going inside. Once he saw her, his mouth dropped open. "Wow....What's the occasion?" he asked as he hugged her and kissed her cheek.

Marley smiled. "It's our one year anniversary." she said. "I lied to you the other night because I didn't want to ruin the surprise. I have lots and lots of surprises."

"Wait, what? Aw Marley....You could've at least given me a hint. Then I could've given you something..." Joshua whined, sighing and shaking his head. "I don't deserve those surprises." he chuckled, smiling sheepishly.

she nodded. "Yes you do." She smiled, taking his hand and taking him to their table. There was a folder in front of his chair with her GED and her acceptance letter.

Joshua sat down and once he saw the GED and acceptance letter, he went pale. "Oh wow....How did I miss all this?" he asked, chuckling and smiling brightly. He was awfully proud. "Girl, you should've told me! I would've taken you out." he said excitedly.

"We're out now." she shrugged, letting her accent show for him. Usually she hid it when they were in public, but, now she let it show. "I wasn't sure you loved me a few days ago. Are you really that proud of me?"

Joshua lost his smile when reminded of the way he acted towards Marley. He was pretty lousy. "Eh..yeah, I am. Really proud. Still, uh, this is a great anniversary....It just would've been more convenient that I would take you out. I was a bastard just a few days ago." he said, sighing.

Reaching over the table, Marley took Joshua's hand, running her thumb over his knuckles. "But we're better now. And you can take me out later... If you remembered the date like a good husband would, you might have had a plan." She chuckled, kissing his hand lovingly. "Please don't worry about it. I did everything you wanted, got my GED and I'm also going to college. I'll get a job and you can also go. We'll make our lives work, I know it."
