Joey awake for about the sixth time that night and turned on her side to look at the digital alarm clock. It was around six o'clock, which she found an appropriate enough time to wake up. Climbing over Emmett's body, she got out of the bed and then walked over to her closet to take out her silk robe. After she had put on her robe and slippers she left the room to have some breakfast.

Emmett sighed softly when she left. He opened his eyes and looked at the ceiling.

Joey returned fifteen minutes later, carrying a tray with a conciderable spread for breakfast. Walking over to the bed, she placed the tray down at the foot briefly to get the tray stand that her servants had used so many times. "Wake up, Sleepy head." she cooed, placing the tray on the stand. "I made some breakfast for the both of us to share."

Joey laughed softly, "I hope that you're hungry." she said, hopping on to the bed next to him. While she was no where near being a gourmet chef, she still knew her way around the kitchen well enough to make a somewhat meaningful meal for her and her lover. "I'm sorry if the French toast is a little burnt." she whispered, her cheeks slightly flushed.

Joey knew that Emmett missed his mother deep down (and that it was vice versa on his mother's side.) Despite this, however, she didn't know what to do to solve the problem. She felt really bad that she was the cause of all of it. It would be so easy for Emmett to just leave her. Then things between him and his mother would be better. But... it was hard. "I love you." she said softly, resting her head on his shoulder.

She knew that it was hard for Emmett to talk about his mother and the current situation even though he was trying to be strong about it. Nuzzeling him lovingly, she then looked up at him and smiled. "Christmas is in a week, you know." she reminded him, smiling. "And I just so happen to be a millionaire." she chuckled softly. "What would you like for Christmas?"

Joey's shoulders slumped and she looked at him with a sad expression on her face. "Oh, Emmett..." she murmured softly, wrapping her arms around him and resting her head on his shoulder. "I'm so sorry..." She didn't know what else to say. All of this was her own fault. She should have pushed him away during that meeting, she shouldn't have kissed him.

"You've known your mother a lot longer than you've known me." Joey murmured, her voice soft and bitter at the same time. "How can I make sure a significant mark in your life that I outrank your mother." Sighing softly, she rested her head on his shoulder. "I hate being what's driving you apart." Her voice wavered slightly before she bit her lip to stop herself from crying.

"Why?" she murmured softly, her voice shaking as she tried to gain a sort of control over her feelings. It would be pointless to cry, nothing would be gained from it. Yet, knowing this, it felt like crying was the only thing to do. Resting her face against his chest, she let her breakfast lay forgotten on the tray that she had set up and lied with him in the bed as her small body shook from crying.

"I'm ruining your life..." she murmured, tears running down her cheeks. "You would be better off without me. You would be back in your parents house with your family and you could have a girlfriend who you would legally be allowed to be dating." Crying gentle, she let her body rest against his warmth. Sometimes she needed Emmett a lot more than he needed her.

While Joey could be considerably mature for her age, it was times like this when you could still tell that she was only sixteen and that there was still some room for growth. Even though she loved Emmett, she still had a lot to learn about love and just how much it was to be treasured in the world that they lived in. "It's not fair." she whispered softly against his shoulder.

A soft whimper passed her lips and she kissed him back. "My Emmett..." she murmured against his lips, pulling his warm body closer to her own. "I love you so much..." Her voice was soft and filled with her need for him and his comfort. "I wish that I wasn't bringing so much bad into your life." Sometiems it was hard to be so young and so very much in love.

A soft sigh passed her lips and she kissed him back. Emmett gave her a sort of strength that she couldn't explain, all she knew was that it made her want to be a better person. As she gently pulled back, she smiled and looked softly into his eyes. "I really hope so, my love." she finally said, gently caressing his cheek. "With all of my heart."

" Me too" he held her close to his body.

Spencer was in the back yard skating on his new ramp his grandpa built for him. " man this is awsome." he said going up then down and back. " Hmm" he stopped and landed on the top of the half pipe and sat down placing his board beside him. " I wonder what Maddie is up to." he took out his cell and texted her.

Hey babeh, wat u up 2?
