| She decided to just let that little comment drop. Sighing softly, she brushed some hair from her eyes and then finishing placing the plates and cups at the table. "It shouldn't be that hard. The way that we kill animals is very humane." she said thoughtfully. |

" I know but ...Its just some way they look at me" he said gently. | |

| "Well, they aren't exactly going to give themselves to us willingly. We are like any other animal. The hunter. The predator. At least when we kill them it is quick and they don't feel any pain." Sophie said. That was more than most meat making companies could say. |

| "It really isn't nearly as bad the second time around." she could understand how the first time he might feel bad about it while seeing the animals in their natural enviroment, but it wasn't somehting that could be helped. They needed the nurishment from the animals' blood. |

| "And it's only if we're too far from our own supply of blood and we need to feed." If he was really so against it, he could just stock up on meat packets. Although, it really would be good for him to get used to it just in case. |

| Another sigh. Was she coming off as too bossy? She just wanted what was best for him. After a good fifteen years of not seeing him or getting to take care of him, it was only natural that she be overprotective of him now. |

| It felt good to say that. Seth kinda smiled. He never got to get exasperated at his mother before. | |

| Sophie, not having noticed this, sighed softly, and then went to put some last touches on their dinner. "Can you call everyone for dinner?" she asked. This also included the Vlads, which currently were limited to Carmella, Darrick and Melody. |

| "sure" he got up. He wanted to catch melody before she entered the kitchen. | |

| Melody was sitting in her room reading over a book that they were studying in class. Yawning softly, she closed the book and glanced over at the clock. It should be time for dinner about now. |

| Carmella thanked him and walked down the stairs with Darrick. Being a great grandmother, some might have thought that Carmella's senses were starting to get fuzzy. But, au contraire. She still knew what went on in her house.
Melody sighed softly, and then got up from her bed. Surely it was dinner time by now. Leaving the room, she noticed her grandparents walking down the staircase and then walked towards the staircase. |

| "Hey." she said, stopping and smiling softly at him. Gently leaning over towards him, she placed a sweet, chaste kiss to his lips. "I love you." Melody whispered softly against his lips. "So, so much." |

| She smiled at him one last time, and then walked down the stairs to the kitchen. The air smelled of the food that had just been cooked, and it made her mouth water. "It smells great." she complimented, to which Sophie smiled. |

| Seth smiled and took Melody's hand gently. He was completely head over heels for her. | |

| Melody looked back at him softly, and then looked over to the food on their plates. Once everyone had said Grace, they then began to eat their dinner. The room was filled with sounds of praise for Sophie, and other forms of small talk. |

| Sophie laughed seeing both her son and fiance fighting over the last bread stick. It made her sad that she hadn't been able to share more family moments with them like this. But she couldn't feel that way. She needed to embrace the time that she was given now. |

| It wasn't long before the dinner was finished. With a soft sigh, Sophie rose to her feet and removed the plates from the table, promptly bringing them to the sink to begin to wash them. |
