He smiled and kissed her softly.

"I love you." she said softly.

"I love you, too," he held her close.

"Will you carry me to the gardens?" She asked him, lifting her head and smiling at him.

"Of course, love," he kissed her softly. He gently lifted her and slowly walked to the gardens with her in his arms. "Tell me if it hurts," he told her gently.

She nodded, one arm around his neck the other had her hand resting on her wound. "I will." she promised.

He set her down carefully on a bench that overlooked the garden. Vines ran up and down the castle walls, a small pond was covered by a weeping willow with lillies resting on the surface of the water. Flowers were everywhere, only separated by a cobblestone walkway.

Amy smiled and looked around at the life. "It's beautiful..." she whispered.

"It is small, but we can make it bigger for you," he told her, sitting next to her on the bench, holding her hand.

she nodded. "If it's not an inconvenience." she smiled.

"Making you smile is my goal in life, dearest. Don't ever believe that it is an inconvenience," he told her seriously, looking into her eyes.

"But what about for the people who work here?" she asked, moving her hand to cup her cheek. "Remember that I know most of the people who do work here because they all went to the pub when their day was over."

"Then we will ask them, love," he nuzzled hr hand gently. "But who could say no to you," he chuckled. "You are beautiful - I'm sure anyone would do anything just to receive a smile from you."

She blushed slightly. "Thank you." she said softly.

"You are most welcome," he kissed her softly.

"Can you help me walk a little bit?" she asked softly. "I promise to take it slow."

"Of course," he said and carefully helped her up. He was thankful there were several small benches, just big enough to fit her, all along the cobble path through the garden.

she walked slowly along the path, letting him hold onto her.

He walked slowly with her, making sure to make her sit if she looked too tired or in too much pain.

She looked behind her and at how much she had already walked. "I'm getting tired... Can we walk back now?"

He nodded gently. "If you get too tired, I will carry you," he told her softly and began walking back with her.

About half way from where they began she almost collapsed. "I thought I could do it..." she mumbled, exausted.

He lifted her into his arms carefully and carried her up to the bedroom and gently laid her down. "It's alright, love," he told her softly, kissing her forehead and checking her bandage. "You are still healing."

She nodded. "I know." She said softly, falling asleep.

He watched her sleep, depressed by the fact he couldn't do anything to help other than help her walk around and order her food. Though he swore he wouldn't leave her side.
