"Not having the freedom to do what you want, always having to please others, not getting to choose who you marry, having countless people count on your decisions... Not all it seems like. And the most uncomfortable clothes," he frowned.

She nodded. "What are you going to tell your father?" She asked. "About today."

"I don't know yet. I'll think of something," he assured her.

"You could just not go back." She suggested slowly.

"What would I do then," he asked her, halfway considering it. "Where would I go?"

"I don't know." she shrugged.

"Until I have that figured out, I have to go back," he sighed. "But I'd love to just leave it..."

"And what about the people?" she asked.

"The pope already has a family chosen to take over the throne if our family gives it up or cannot produce an heir. In the case that the royal family can't produce an heir, then they won't have everything taken away from them. They'll still be upper class and living wealthy, but they won't live in the castle." He sighed.

"You could have a child out of wedlock." she said. "You'd be forced to marry the mother."

"True..." he shrugged. "Either way, I'll have to go back sometime...."

"Just make sure that you make the right choices for you." she said softly.

He nodded, looking out over the open land.

She looked at him then stood. "Come on." She smiled. "I'm going to teach you how to climb a tree."

He blinked. "Climb a tree?" He stood and looked at her curiously.

"Yeah. Get up, come on." she smiled.

He nodded and got up.

"Have you ever climbed a tree?" she asked, walking back into the foresty part of the kingdom.

"Never," he said, following her. "I've climbed over the furniture plenty of times, though."

"furniture is east." she smiled, stopping and looking up a tree. "This one should work."

He looked up at it and attempted to climb it without being shown. He thought about where he placed his hands and feet and soon reached the middle of the tree. "This is amazing," he laughed.

"yeah." she chuckled. "And you look funny doing it. Quit trying to shimmy up. Use the branches." she said, climbing up herself.

He chuckled. "Alright," he said, and did as he was told.

She quickly climbed past him and smiled down at him. "Stop and look behind you." She said. One could see the city and then the mountains beyond.

He blinked up at her and looked behind him. "Wow," he breathed, gazing out at the view.
