It's a Love Story

Roman was in the doorway having been launched out of the hammock as the trees it was attached to moved. She was under the balcony at least she thought so. Her first thought was Dante and how he wasn't next to her.

"Roman! Mother! Anyone," Dante yelled, but heard no reply, only his voice breaking a deadly silence. He felt no way out, nothing would budge to grant him air.

Rose was terrified. "Aiden," she cried, too scared to try to free herself from under the sink. She cried his name louder, hoping he hadn't been crushed by something. "Roman! Jonny!"

"Rose!" Aiden yelled, hearing her. "I can't move..."


"Ren!" Jon yelled, trying to get out but not being able to. He didn't want to move something that was holding something bigger up and keeping it from crushing him.

"Jon," Ren managed to yell, though it was strained. Something moved above her as she tried to move and she screamed as it landed close to her head. She didn't dare move from that point on, almost too scared to breathe.

"Ren! Ren are you okay? Baby, let my know you're okay." Jon said, desperate to get to her.

"I'm scared," Ren cried, wanting so badly to at least be able to see Jon.

"It's going to be okay." he said, though didn't really believe it. "Can you move?"

"The table and a rafter are on top of me," she told him, trying to be brave for him.

"Is anything broken? Can you breath?" he asked.

"My leg might be broken... And yeah, for the most part.... Are you okay," she asked, wanting so bad to be freed from the undeserved prison that used to be Dante's house.

"I can move, but just barley." He told her. "Don't be scared, okay."

"Too late," she said, on the verge of crying again. Her leg hurt and she wanted to lay her head down but she was too scared to move.

"Ren... Babe. It's okay. We'll get out of here, all of us." he said. He knew she was crying and was looking around, making sure that if he moved, nothing would fall.

"If I move, something else will fall," she told him, her voice shaking.

"Then don't move. Put your head down and don't move." he said, slowly scooting out of his hold and moving some rocks, hoping to see her. If he could hear her then they wern't to far away.

Slowly, she put her head down. It was easier for her to breathe, also easier for her to cry.

When Jon had moved enough of the rocks to see through he stuck his hand through the hole he had made. "Can you see my hand Ren?" He asked.

Ren lifted her head to see and saw his hand waving past a pile of debris. "Yes," she said.

"Can you reach it?" he asked, wanting so bad to feel her touch so he knew she was alright.

"I can't move," she whimpered, afraid to try and reach him.

"Out of fear or because you're stuck?" he asked.

"I'm scared," she whimpered.

"It'll be okay. I promise. Please just touch my hand Ren. If it's more then just moving your arm then don't, I just need to know you're okay."

Ren slowly moved her hand to touch his. She held onto his hand, clinging to it like a lifeline.

Jon sighed in relief. "Thank god.... I love you Ren." he said, squeezing her hand.
