Holly and I Only!!!

"He will, love. Have faith in him," Damon hugged her tight, knowing their son might not come back.

She nodded and looked at her son, still struggling against the chains for another taste of Lilli. "I can't be in here... Not with him like this." she said, getting up and quickly walking out.

Damon let her go sadly. "Once he's calmed down, sedate him," Damon murmured to Niko, who nodded. Damon walked out and back up to the infirmary. "Lilli, are you alright," he asked her gently.

Lilli was curled around Jedi, holding herself close to him. "I want to go home." she mumbled.

"You'll only be attacked by Rogues if you go home," Damon told her gently. "Let me see your wounds," he said, grabbing the first aid kit.

She nodded, extending her arm and showing the inside of her elbow which still had a little bit of dried blood. "How come you can handel the smell of my blood but Ryder couldn't?"

"The Rogues drained him of more blood than I thought... He was very thirsty and it ended up driving him into bloodlust. I make sure I drink regularly from my mate, so I'm never really that thirsty, so I can handle it. He cleaned her wound and wrapped it in gauze and medical tape. "I know he didn't mean to attack you," he told her gently, looking at her. "He won't be himself for a few months. Once he is himself, I know he will feel horrible for attacking you. I'm asking you to not hold this against him, though I understand if you are afraid."

"I don't know how not to be afraid of him right now..." she mumbled.

"I understand," he said gently. "But please remember that Ryder is one of the most gentle people I know, when he is himself."

She nodded. "I'll try." she said, holding onto Jedi a bit tighter.

"I know he will appreciate your dog looking after you when he cannot," Damon chuckled, trying to lighten the mood if only a little. "He's a good dog, Jedi is."

She nodded. "He's my best friend."

"Will you forgive Ryder, Jedi," Damon asked the dog.

The dog looked at Damon, huffed then closed his eyes. His way of saying maybe.

Damon chuckled. "I hope you can," he patted the dogs head gently. "If you want, Lilli, I can arrange for you to go to a Darkhaven. You could find a mate there and live with many other breedmates."

She shook her head. "I don't want to go anywhere."

"Alright," he said gently. That seemed like a good sign. "Would you like me to show you to your room? Or the library? Or would you like to spend some time with Baily? She was there when I was going through what Ryder is going through right now. It is how we became mates."

She shook her head. "I just want to go to my room." she said.

"alright," he said gently and helped her up, walking towards her room. "If you get hungry, don't be afraid to tell us," he told her gently.

"I will." she said softly. "Damon... Will you sit in here until I fall asleep?" she asked, turning slightly red. First it was the rogues she was afraid of, now it was Ryder.

"Ryder can't reach you, Lilli," he told her gently. "He's in the containment room, chained to a wall and sedated so he can't move. He will be until he is himself."

"Still doesn't change the fact that I'm scared." she said.

He nodded in understanding. "Go get dressed and I will wait until you are done," he said gently.

She noddded, waiting until he was gone before getting up and changin. she went out into the hall and found him waiting. "thank you Damon."

"You are welcome," he told her gently. He sat in the chair and waited patiently until she fell asleep.
