"I don't want to accidentally bite you against your consent," he told her softly. "Being that close to you when I have my guard down... I will end up biting you."

She nodded. "Alright."

He smiled. "Thank you for the offer, though."

She smiled at him, nodding. "Of course."

He smiled and stood. "I should get going and help dad take care of the rogues. Will you and Jedi be alright here until we get back?"

She nodded. "Yes. Be careful."

He nodded. "I will. I promise." He patted Jedi's head. "Be good, boy. Watch over her while we're gone," he murmured to the dog and got up to leave.

Jedi licked Ryder's hand then laid his head in Lilli's lap, his way of showing the vampire that he would keep an eye on his girl.

He couldn't help but smile at the dog. He was a smart one. He left to change into his combat gear once again and left with his father. They were giving Olivia and Niko a night off to spend with their family. Tomorrow night, they would switch.

Olivia came back and went straight to her room for James. She had missed him.

James was in the workout room, working on gaining his muscle back. He smiled when he saw his beloved mate.

Olivia smiled and went to him, hugging her mate despite the sweat on his body.

He chuckled and hugged her back, kissing her forehead. 'You sure you wanna be around stinky ol' me," he asked her softly.

"I missed you." She shrugged.

He kissed her softly. "I missed you too."

She smiled as she kissed back. "I love you."

"I love you, too," he kissed her lovingly.

"I should leave you. Let you finish." She smiled.

"I'll be five more minutes. Then we can work out together," he winked and kissed her.

She smirked. "Don't tire yourself out to much." she said seductively.

"Oh, don't worry, babe. I won't," he chuckled.

"Good." she smiled and skipped up to their room.

He chuckled and watched her leave before he went to finish his workout. He wiped his face with a towel and made his way to their bedroom. He smiled as he walked in. "Hey, baby. Mind if I take a shower? Would you like to join me," he grinned.

She smiled at him. "I;d love to."

He smiled widely and kissed her as he took her hand and led her to the bathroom, grabbing her a big, fluffy towel to dry off with once they were done.
