He looked at her. "Hey. Did I bore you so much that you left," he teased, chuckling softly.

"No, it's just that Hope wanted dinner." she said, "And I got your meds...you slept for 6 hours you know."

"I was teasing, sweetie," he said softly. "Thank you for getting my meds, though."

"You're welcome hun." she said softly "There's still some ravioli if you want some."

He nodded. "Yeah, sure," he smiled.

"I'll rewarm it and bring you some alright?" she said kissing him. "Oh, Hope drew something for you, I told her she couldn't give it to you untill after you woke up. Shall I send her in?"

He kissed her back softly. "Yes, please," he smiled, interested to see what Hope drew.

Hope scampered in just as her mom left him and jumped on the bed and held up the picture for him to see. "See, it's you in your wheel chair and mommy and me!" she said laying it on his chest.

Jamie went to opening the fridge to grab the left over ravioli and put it in the microwave to warm it. up.

He smiled. "It's very pretty, thank you, sweetie," he smiled and kissed her cheek. "It's very good. You get that from your mommy," he smiled proudly.

Hope smiled and nodded "Yup yup, she always says that. So did grandma and grandpa."

He chuckled softly. "What's your favorite thing to draw," he asked her curiously.

"Flowers and monkeys." she said smiling.

He chuckled softly. "No fairies? Or the lost boys," he asked.

"I'm not that good yet!" she said. "Fairies look like little bulbs of light when I draw them....mommy makes them look amazing."

He smiled and hugged his little girl. "Practice makes perfect," he told her.

She nodded "Thats what mommy always says." she said hugging him back gently.

He kissed her cheek. "Because it's true. Your mommy would know better than anyone. I usually give up."

Hope chuckled. "Quitter." she said and poked him in the cheek. "Mommy says never give up."

He smiled. "I never gave up on her. I'll never give up on you," he kissed her nose.

"Aaah that tickles!" she said pulling away from him laughing.
Jamie heard her daughter laugh and smiled, she just hoped after she went to her parents she'd still be able to hear that happy laughter. Who knows what her parents might do.

He chuckled. "Your nose is ticklish!? What else is ticklish," he asked, poking her sides and tummy, laughing.

"AAHHhhhhhh nooooo Momm!!!!!!" she screamed giggling.

Jamie came in and knowing it was time to save her before she started kicking in order to try and get away. She scooped up Hope "Mommy has come to save you!!" she said before lifting up her shirt and blowing a raspberry on her tummy.

Chad chuckled, smiling happily at his girls.

She set Hope down on her bed after another raspberry and went back out to grab Chad's ravioli. "There you go, all nice and warm." she told him setting it on the table by her bed. She helped him sit up so he could eat.

He smiled. "Thank you, love," he kissed her softly.
