He rested his hand on her cheek gently on her cheek and sung softly to her

She smiled and kissed him softly. "Goodnight, my love," she whispered.

" Get some sleep and keep our boys warm. I'll bring the space heaters down" he said gently kissing her very lovingly slightly frenching her.

She smiled softly into the loving kiss they shared. I will, she murmured mentally, not wanting to break their kiss.

He rested his arms around her waist deepening the kiss. He had a long night to go but he knew he would be back at sunrise for breakfast and a chearful mate because the hunters would be gone.

She wrapped her arms around his neck, her fingers getting lost in his hair gently

" I will make things better" he said softly kissing down her neck.

She sighed contently. "I know you will," she murmured, nuzzling him gently.

" Go to bed" eh said gently kissing her one last time.

She chuckled. "yes, love," she kissed him softly and went to phase, curling around her boys protectively, and to keep them warm.

He picked up his gun and cartriges and went out into the cold night.

She watched him leave, worried about him. She curled tighter around her babies as they shivered in the cool basement, making sure they were covered.

When morning came there was no sign of him anywhere.

Brianna whined, sniffing around. She knew she shouldn't leave the basement, to protect her babies in case they were found, but her mate still hadn't come back, like he'd promised he would. She paced anxiously, whining, her ears rotating at every tiny sound she heard outside the door.

Ever so quietly the door knob jiggled. A grunt came from behind the locked steal door. Then the door was being pounded on gruesomely....

Briana growled at the door, sniffing furiously to see who was on the other side. Hide, boys, she told her sons urgently.

Danny and Kenny barked softly as they scurried off into a corner under a pile of boxes.



" Damn key" he grunted. He found it and put it in and unlocked the door, "... WILMA I"M HOME" Ched bellowed in his best Fred Flintstone voice.

Briana growled and pinned him to the ground. Don't you EVER make me worry like that again, she growled, nuzzling her mate.

he laughed and hugged her kissing her fuzzy wolfy face. " oh love. You don't have to worry about the hunters hurting our boys or any future puppies." he smiled, " Though I am starving and got shot in the arm so..ummm "

She huffed and got up off of him, nudging him to sit up. She licked at his wound gently. Boys, why don't you bring your daddy some food?

The boys barked and ran upstairs under their legs barking loudly and fighting with each other plafully as little boy pups do.

" I don't think I'll be seeing food anytime soon with those little warriors" Ched laughed

Brianna chuckled and broke them apart, walking passed them to get food for her mate. She came back and put a rabbit in his lap.

" ah um.... thanks......." He said sitting it aside. " I'm gonna go get this bullet out of my arm...." he said. He was more or less wanting a hot meal.
