"No, love. Thank you," he kissed her.

"For what?" She asked.

"Not leaving me," he murmured, leaning his forehead on hers.

She smiled, nodding. "You're welcome."

He smiled and kissed her softly and lovingly.

She kissed back but slowly pulled away. "Has the doctor said anything to you about me being able to bare children?" she asked.

He is not sure that you can, love," he murmured a bit sadly, stroking her cheek.

She sighed. "But there's a chance?" she asked.

"There is a chance, once you heal," he nodded.

She nodded. "Good."

He kissed her softly, stroking her cheek tenderly. 'I love you," he whispered.

She smiled at him. "I love you, too."

Ashley's father barged in. "Sir! May I please see my daughter?"

Andrew frowned at him. "You are not a knight anymore, Christian. Guards are placed where they are placed and follow orders."

"But sir-"

"Do you see this maiden? Ashley nearly killed her. Why would I grant her any sort of privileges? Would you, if you were in my shoes?"

"No, sir. But.."

"Back to your post. Now."

"Yes, sir..." he saluted and left, his shoulders a bit slumped.

"Let him see her at least once before you send her away." Amy said softly once the former knight had left.

"I will," he nodded, frowning.

"It's not his fault that his daughter turned out the way she did."

"It is. He's always given her everything she's wanted. He apparently taught her how to defend herself, as well. She's a spoiled one. Spoiled rotten."

"Being spoiled isn't always a bad thing." she said.

"Amy. Your heart stopped beating several times. You were pale as death for three days. She has caused you nothing but misery. Why are you defending her," he asked.

"I'm not defending her. I'm defending her father. Don't do it for her, do it for him." She said.

He sighed. "Fine. Before or after I shave her head?"

"Before. Don't ruin things for him." she said.

"Alright," he kissed her forehead. "We will wait until you are able to walk without tearing your stitches again."

"I don't want to see her again." she said. "It's all up to you now."

"I'm not going to leave your side until you're able to walk, love," he told her.
