Alex' eyes flickered to him as his hand moved, and she couldn't hide from him the fact that she looked at him. "Is there something wrong," she finally asked him quietly. That look was making her very nervous.

Grayson blinked then looked up at Alex. He smiled and shook his head. "No, everything's fine. I've just been trying to find something, something that's been lost for 15 or so years..."

"That's a long time for something to be lost," she noted. "Maybe I can help look for it?"

Grayson shrugged, nodding. "Alright that sounds good. Is after dinner okay?"

She nodded. "Where do I put the dishes," she asked; she'd been the first one done, even though she ate slow. She had the smallest stomach, thanks to her old masters who fed her hardly anything at mealtimes.

Grayson smiled. "Just leave them there. Jared and Tony will pick them up. They don't let anyone in or out of the kitchen other than themselves or me. We were lucky we got by without them seeing us." He smiled and stood, resting his hands on the back of her chair.

"Alright," she said, standing and looking up at him curiously. "What are we looking for," she asked him quietly.

Grayson smiled, pushing her chair in after she'd stood. "We're looking for a worn leather book, a diary actually. It was my father's and I can't find it at all... We're looking in the wine cellar, so follow me closely."

She nodded. "Okay," she said, wondering idly how many rooms were in the house.

Grayson walked ahead of her then turned into a narrow hallways, the one that led down to the basement and eventually the wine cellar. "It's this way Alex."

Alex followed him and nodded. "I'm right behind you," she said quietly, not wanting to look around and risk getting lost.

Grayson nodded, starting on his way down the stairs into the basement. The dark still freaked him out, despite the fact that he'd just come from down here.

Alex, used to dark places, was still a little nervous about walking down the stairs into the darkness. She had nothing to be nervous about, she kept reminding herself. Grayson was a good master, he wouldn't hurt her.

Grayson turned back to her and flashed her a reassuring smile before he disappeared into the darkness of the basement.

Alex followed closely behind him, her hand clinging to his shirt so she didn't get lost or left behind.

Grayson smiled, moving through the random piles of cluters of to the cellar. "Now, when we get in there because there are a lot of bottles and barrels still unopened..."

Alex nodded, still following closely behind him.

Grayson walked down into the wine cellar, the musty smell of wood and glass made him smile. He'd always liked it down here, back when his dad was alive.

Alex recognized the scent, only it didn't have the alcohol in it. For that, she was grateful. She'd always believed men always got angry when they were drunk. No alcohol smell meant no alcohol had been opened; which, in turn, meant that he didn't drink much, if at all.

Grayson reached around to his right until his hand found the light switch. Light flooded the basement and Grayson sihged. "Alright. I guess we should get looking..."

The lights suddenly turned on, Alex blinked, rubbing at her eyes for a second before looking around.

Sarah got up again, her eyes shooting wide open. She never slept much, 5 hours tops. So since it was still pre-dawn, she stood and stepped out of her room, walking out to the garden.

Grayson sighed, looking at everything. His dad had spent so much time down here, before the plague swept through and destroyed him. Everything was coated with dust, which seemed to make their task harder.

Deryk woke up with the sun and got his shower, then got dressed, walking down to the dining room. He couldn't help but notice that Sarah wasn't there with them. Curious, he had Karen to check in her room, and he went out to the stables on the way to the garden.

Alex started looking around the boxes. "Do you want to look inside them," she asked him, talking about the boxes.

Sarah looked up, seeing Deryk walking towards the garden and stables. "Good morning!"

Grayson nodded. "Yeah, that'd be a good idea..."

Deryk chuckled. "Well, good morning. You're about to miss breakfast; would you like to join us," he asked, offering his hand. "I have to admit: I thought you ran away. Karen couldn't find you in your room."

Alex nodded and started untaping the boxes, pulling them open and looking inside.
