Wedding and Reception.

Welcome, all, to the "legal" (at least to these forums!) joining of two lives. Baggs and I welcome you to join us in our wedding and reception, to celebrate our love and witness us coming together (not like that, you pervs).

Setting:
Something similar to this lake with the mountains behind it. The perfect location to hold both a wedding and reception.

Gazebo will be white marble with a wooden roof and sit on the water.


Reception
Will be held outside with a tent accessible in case of rain or temperature.
Table
White tablecloth on round table. Centerpiece is tall and narrow with bouquet of red and pink roses, fern leaves dangling from underneath the roses. Small glasses will hold petals around the base of the vase.
Old European-style lamps will be set around to provide lighting after sunset.

Bean woke up to her alarm, grumbling and slamming the "off" button. She stared at the clock for a minute before she realized what day it was, and suddenly jumped up out of bed, running to take her shower. She got all cleaned up and dressed in loose jeans and a t-shirt, slipping her converses on before grabbing her dress and getting into her car to drive to the lakeside, arriving there within minutes.

The barracks was dim and silent, most of its occupants either asleep or already out at their duty stations. It had seemed like moments ago Taps had sounded, ending the day previous. The Head, usually a bustling with activity at this time of day, has only one occupant. The young marine grumbled to himself as he emerged from the showers, he had hoped to get some sleep before the big day but his CO had assigned him the night post and he had only managed a couple hours of sleep. A minor annoyance to any marine. Quickly he shaved himself and slipped into some "Civies", a pair of jeans and a green USMC t-shirt, leaving the base moments later headed for the lake.

Tay-Jah sleepily wakes up, much later than expected (like usual). The hubby had left around 10 to do some OT at the shop to help pay for their own wedding to be held in October, and although he always kisses her goodbye, she sure didn't remember it. "SON OF A PREACHER MAN!" she blurts, looking at the clock- she was running late for Bean's wedding! "CRAPcrapCRAPcrap..." is the only phrase coming out of her mouth for the next 20 minutes as she leaps into the shower (Record time: today, at 4 minutes or so, and SEVERAL nicks and cuts later. Eh, it looks rebellious. Or really rushed.), blow-dries her fine strawberry blonde hair and does her primping simultaneously, then grabs her little dress and runs out to her car. "Shoot," she groans and runs back to the Cubicle. The typical knee-length combat boots weren't gonna cut it this time! But Tay is AWFUL when it comes to heels- unless she's being an idiot and showing off for Dave...which will one day result in a not-so-sexy hospital trip instead. So she grabs the one pair of flats she has, luckily they match EVERYTHING she owns that isn't black. Back out she goes! Oh, wait...breakfast! Tay needs breakfast! Does she want bubble tea or Peach Tea from Jack in the Crack? Hm...and the clock counts down.

I lazily wake up and hit the snooze on my alarm, snuggling in the warmth of my bed. I lay there for awhile trying to motivate myself to get out of bed. when I finally do I remember how I cant wait to see Bean in her wedding dress again. I smile as I sit up and look at my own dress sitting on the hanger. "today's her big day!" I chuckle and get up and start getting ready after finally shutting my alarm off as it went off again.

I heard my wife get up and go get ready and I grunted to myself. No no no. Gabe in bed = happy non-Grizzly bear. I pulled my pillow over my head and let out a long drawn out " arrrrrrrrryaaaawwwwwerrrr" Yes. I had a weird yawn, my love listens to it often when I am tired. Maybe I shouldn't have stayed up so late, I was bound and determined to at least make Bean's last night as a bachorlette a good one. Tasteful music, tasteful beverages, and of course very funny games like the card game B.S. and some game called Battle of the sexes. Got my ass kicked. I knew I shouldn't have let Angela team up with Bean. Very very deadly. Oh well. At least I got to wear the suit I got married in, while Angela couldn't wear her dress. Ha ha.

Waking up at around eight in the morning was still a tough thing to do. Still, with my own hubby's "help", I got up and was in the shower within ten minutes. It was cold so I yelped while Ben laughed his butt off. Afterwards, I got to the kitchen to make breakfast for myself and the boys. After eating, I knew I had to at least contact ol' Bean to make sure everything was going smoothly. So, I grabbed my cellphone and texted to her:

Morning, is everything good 2 go?

Bean heard her phone sound to say she had a text message. Pulling it out of her pocket after straitening a vine of roses along the gazebo's rails, she looked at it and smiled, hitting "Reply".

Everything's going smoothly so far. Setting up the tents soon, after flowers are all done.

She put her phone back in her pocket and went back to making sure the rose vines were just perfect before she went to get the tents.

I took a shower painted my nails and the such, put my hair into it's side bun type like thing, the way I had for prom and picked up the phone awhile later to dial Bean. "Soooo how's it goin'?" I smile, "Need any help with decorations or anything?"

Bean answered as she'd brought the first tent, still in the bag, to where it would go. "Hey," she answered with a smile. "Hmm... Actually, do you know anyone who'd be willing to put the tents and tables up? I don't want all of us to get all stinky and everything, considering there's no shower out here, ya know?"

"Well.....no, not really. Augh, fail I shoulda thought of this!" I chuckle, "Well, we can take a shower in the lake..... Just kidding....I'm kinda stumped...." I replied racking my brain for anyone to help set up tents.

Along the highway, not five minutes from the lakeside, Bagg's drove toward his future bride. He sped along the highway in a recovered Military transport, in the back was loaded extra supplies for the wedding as well as a handful of young fresh from boot marines who had volunteered to help their Lance corporal with his wedding preparations. With help in-tow Baggs pulls into the parking lot, and quickly puts his squad to work assisting with remaining preparations. As his squad works diligently the groom-to-be sneaks up on his beloved wife and gives her a pinch.

"Heya sweety" he growls playfully, "How goes the wedding prep?"

"I guess we could bathe in the lake if you're not afraid of cold water," Bean chuckled and smiled, seeing the marines take to putting up tents. "I believe we've got our help, Trace. Unless you want to help with the flowers," she said. "I'll see you soon. My groom is here," she smiled and kissed his cheek. "All is going well. We'll be put ahead of schedule with your boys putting up the tents and tables," she chuckled.
