He chuckled softly. "Alright."

She nodded and sighed again, starting to fall asleep. "I'm glad that I could help you." she mumbled.

[No. it's like "aphrodisiac" or something like that]

He pulled the blanket over her gently. "You honor me well, Breedmate," he whispered softly.

She looked at him, confused. "How so?" she asked.

"You saved my life," he answered, looking into her eyes. "I'm to repay you."

"No you don't." she said.

"But I do," he insisted. "What's one thing you've always wanted," he asked softly.

She sighed, falling asleep again. "Somebody to love me..."she mumbled.

He chuckled softly and secured the blanket around her. "It might come true someday," he whispered softly. "Someday soon..." God knew he was already falling for her.

"Maybe..." she mumbled. the last thing she felt was his touch. She smiled, falling asleep.

He smiled softly and watched her for a short while before he stood and walked to the infirmary to wake Niko. The vampire woke with a start. "Damon! Damnit, you scared the shit out of me," he sighed, running a hand through his hair. "How you feeling, man?"

"Much better than I was. Thank you for bringing me back here. I'd be dead if not for you."

"What are brothers for," he chuckled and stood. "I'm ready for bed."

"As am I," Damon said and they both went to their quarters and slept.

Early that morning, Baily was having a bad dream. She had had a bit of a rough childhood, with her dad drinking and her mom a drugie. She was having a dream of her dad drinking again, yelling at her. It scared her, she was just a little kid and had accidentally split some milk.

Damon woke with a tight feeling in his chest. He felt fear, though he knew it wasn't his own. "Baily," he cursed and hurried out of bed to her room. He knocked on the door and, with no answer, went in and to her bedside. "Baily," he murmured, shaking her gently. "Come on, Baily. Wake up," he told her gently.

"no, Daddy..." she mumbled and woke with a start, her eyes snapping open and looking at Damon. "Was I screaming?" she asked, forgetting for the moment that he could feel her.

He shook his head. "No. You were having a nightmare," he murmured, brushing the hair from her face. "Are you alright," he asked gently.

She nodded. "Yes. I'm fine. thank you for waking me." she said softly.

"Do you want to talk about it," he asked softly, sitting on the side of her bed next to her.

"It was just a dream," she said, turning onto her side and cuddling with the pillow and curling around him slightly. "I didn't have the best of childhoods and sometimes it comes back in the form of dreams." she shrugged. She didn't like talking about it, even to Fairly.

"Would you feel better if I slept in here," he asked. "I'll take the floor. It doesn't matter."

"No can stay in here now." she said. "I mean, if you'd like. I can't get to sleep now and It would help if I had someone to talk to."

"I'm always here to talk to," he told her simply. "Talk away."

"About last night. I just realized that I asked you to love me. That's not right of me... I'm sorry."

"Don't apologize. I asked you what you always wanted and you gave me an answer. It's not so uncommon of people to want love in their life. Including me," he admitted with a tender smile. The kind of smile that said "I like you. I think I'm falling for you."
