Alex relaxed. "thank you, Carlisle," she told him honestly.


Bella frowned. "Jake..." she said in a warning tone.

" no problem. Take it easy" he said.



" Well he is" He grunted.

"I will," Alex nodded and went back to her husband.


Bella sighed, shaking her head. "It takes two to tango, so to speak. They are choosing to take responsibility for their actions and don't need you and Edward growling down their necks. They're scared as it is."

Dimitri hugged her " is everything ok?"


Cody had calmed her down somehow. Even though he was equally scared.



" Fine fine" he grunted.

"Carlisle says everything's fine," she hugged him back.


Nessie took a short nap in Cody's arms, clinging to him like a lifeline.

" Thats good" he hugged her



Cody watched her quietly

Alex nuzzled Dimitri gently as she leaned against him, glad to be in his arms and that their unborn little one was safe.


Nessie woke up, yawning. She blinked her eyes open and hid her face in Cody's chest, her eyes not used to the lights yet.

He held her and worried about Cody.


Cody got up to stretch his legs. They had started to cramp.

"If we could do it, then he can," Alex told him gently.

Nessie sat up, rubbing her eyes. She was hungry, but she didn't want to impede Cody.

" I have no doubt" he said " just worried"



cody came in and yawned " Ok my legs feel better"

"Why are you worried," she asked him gently.

"I didn't mean to keep you laying there so long," she apologized softly. Her eyes were still red and puffy from crying.

" because I'm a dad" he said chuckling



" nah don't be" he smiled

Alex smiled up at him and kissed him softly.


"Jake's here," she noted, hearing the loud heartbeat with her vampire hearing. "Is he mad...?"

He kissed her gently. " C'mon lets sit down and relax the baby"



" your mom probably told him not to be." Cody said as he went to his suitcase and pulled his shirt off. Cody had a nice musclar sculpted body. He got a tank top and pulled it on and tucked it into his jeans and he put a white belt on. " its hot here v.v" he was used to russia's cold weather.

"Kay," she smiled softly and went to go sit and relax. Thankfully, Rose had gone in a fury, so she wouldn't have to deal with the temperamental blond.


"You're crazy," Nessie said about him being hot, shaking her head. "It feels good outside."

Dimitri was glad as well.



" I'm not crazy. Menopausal maybe." Cody grinned. He chuckled as he layed back down on her bed.

Nessie cuddled close to him and sighed softly. She was tired of being closed up in her room, but she didn't want to face any of her family now.

Cody sighed. He failed trying to make her laugh. He stroked her hair gently.

Nessie cringed into him as she heard the familiar engine of the Volvo pulling onto the dirt road to the house. "Dad's home," she whispered.

" Yeah" he sighed gently.

Nessie waited anxiously, nervous about her dad's reaction. Please don't be mad, daddy, she thought.

Cody was hoping he'd still be alive after today

Bella met Edward out by his car, being calm. "How was your hunting trip, honey?"

" its fine....." he said gently. He could tell something was wrong but he couldn't read her mind of course to figure out what.

She lifted the veil on her mind slowly, watching his reaction. She showed him the situation, especially how scared their precious daughter was.
