"I get it now. Thanks," she smiled sheepishly.

" Its ok" He shrugged.

Alex nodded. He seemed more talkative than he was at school. Then again, he rarely said a word at school. But somehow the girls were always swooning when he passed them. She sighed inwardly. He was attractive. Very attractive. But she'd never fall for someone just based on looks. She didn't understand how most teenagers did.

Bryan never dated any of them either.

" So whats up with you today? Bummer that Schwit assigned that stupid Chemistry packet." Bryan said looking at her at the corner of his eye.

"Just came to relax," she shrugged. "Oh, I know! I hate Chemistry," she groaned. "It's enough work in itself without all these stupid packets."

' Tell me about it. I've already memorized Oxygen's atomic mass because of all those damn Molar mass problems. 15.9994." He shook his head.

Alex shook her head, too, sighing. "How is that going to help us later in life? Besides some stupid game show."

" It beats the bananas out of me, Alex." Bryan shook his head.

"It beats the bananas out of you," Alex repeated, teasing.

" Are you flirting Miss Alex?" He teased.

Alex raised her eyebrow. "Flirting? Never," she hid a smirk. "However, I think a certain young man is."

" Me?? Never" Bryan grinned.

"Never? Truly? Maybe my skills with relationships and flirting are rusted. It sure seemed like it," she said, smirking.

" Or maybe you just hope I'm flirting." Bryan winked.

"Riiight," she said, rolling her eyes. She hid her smile well.

Bryan chuckled and winked at her.

She chuckled, too, and winked back.

Bryan chuckled and stretched his legs out and started to sing.

Alex listened quietly, closing her eyes. When he was done, she opened her eyes again. "You sing very well," she said quietly.
