He smiled and stroked her hair, relaxing into the couch.

She smiled gently

He smiled and kissed her forehead, then heard a knock on the door. "Go ahead and go in my room, love. I'll take care of it," he kissed her, sitting up and pulling his pants on.

She nodded and grabbed the blanket scurrying away blushing.

He chuckled softly and answered the door, opening it a crack.

Rachel smiled. "We haven't seen you in forever, Chad. We miss you," she pouted.

Chad shook his head. "You won't see me again. Forget it."

"Aww, but why not?"

"I was using you. I have what I want now. Leave," he said coldly, closing the door on her.

Jamie tried not to listen but couldn't help overhear....

Chad sighed and went to Jamie. He could tell by her expression that she'd overheard.

Rachel's foot was caught in the door, she wasn't going anywhere...she was drunk and pissed off. "So you used me untill you could find yourself a better whore?!? I don't hear from you for a month and I show up to see this!"

"What are you talking about!?" Jamie asked wrapping the blanket tightly around her.

"He'll use you, he'll love you, but when he finds someone else thats a better f*ck he'll move on. It's a fact! He did that to my friend's sister's half cousin!" she yelled. "How long have you two know each other a day?"

Chad frowned. "I was using all of you until Jamie came back like she promised. I didn't think she was ever going to come back. Jamie's been my girl since we were little." He figured the only way to get out of this mess was to tell the truth and pray to god that she didn't leave again.

"You watch it he'll leave you to! Just wait! He's a drunk poser! He probably can't act how he truely does in front of you because he's scared of scaring "his girl" away. One day the both of you will snap and-"

Jamie pushed her out the door and forced it shut locking it and pulled the curtains on the windows in the living room. She silently leaned her head up against the front door holding the blanket tightly around her.

Chad frowned sadly, taking a slow step towards her "She's wrong, Jamie," he told her softly. "I won't leave you. I... I was afraid you wouldn't come back... I needed to let go every once in a while... It meant nothing. I only ever wanted you. That's the truth."

Jamie didnt say anything at all. she was just to shocked to say or do anything. What if he ended up replacing her cause of the same reason.

Since she didn't object, he slowly made his way towards her and knelt down in front of her. "Jamie, I love you. I've always loved you. I mean that. I was miserable with you gone - that's why I did it. But you're here now, and I'm happy, so I don't need them. I have you.... Don't I," he asked. "Jamie, please say something," he said gently.

She walked past him grabbing her clothes and went into the bathroom to change without saying a word. She locked the bathroom door behind her and slid down the door and huddled against the wall silently crying.

Chad felt like crying, himself. He went to the bathroom door, not bothering to touch it. "Jamie, please... Why don't you believe me? Why does that even matter if I'm not going to do it anymore? I'm sorry it hurt you. I'm really sorry. But it's not going to happen again, I promise. You're the only one for me, Jamie. The only one who can make me happy. Truly happy. But if you want me to go away, then... I'll go..." he said sadly. "What do you want, Jamie," he asked quietly, sadly, praying she wouldn't leave him.

"I don't know what to feel right now, disappointment...anger sadness...?" she cried softly as she started getting dressed. "Was that really you or am I getting someone else?"

"You're getting me. The real me, not the depressed me that I was when you were gone. I'm sorry, Jamie... So sorry that I hurt you," he said fervently.

She didn't know what to say. "It was the same way before you met me to though...." she said after a minute or so...

He looked up at the door, his eyes begging her to understand. "Because I'm miserable without you. You're the only one who makes me happy, who makes me sane. I love you, Jamie. Only you, always you. It's never been anyone else, as there never will be. I know I don't deserve you, but I love you."

She opened the door and and hugged him tighty. she couldn't be mad at him for long, she couldn't.

Chad hugged her back tightly. "I'm so sorry," he whispered to her. "I promise - it won't ever happen again. I'm so so sorry," he repeated, holding her close.

She kissed him deeply wrapping her arms around him. "I'm not leaving you, I'm never leaving you...you can't go back to be being like that..."

He kissed her back. "I won't. I promise," he said, holding her close still.

"Good." she murmured and shivered a little still not completely dressed. All she had on was her bra, shirt and underwear.

He cupped her cheek in his hand. "You could have pulled your pants on before you came out here. I wasn't that far in a mental breakdown," he teased softly, kissing her forehead. "I'll get your pants." He got up and got them for her.
