A Werewolf's Heart Part 1.1

'Do our parents mean anything to you?!' he growled. 'how can you just break the laws so easily? If not the rules, then what about the love for your brother? Everyone can see that Ilane is his whole world! Why would you do that?'

'Our parents are dead,' he repeated. 'Why do their laws need following? Besides, I was just trying to show Ilane what it would be like to be with a true werewolf.'

Nick growled furiously, his fur standing on end. He almost lurched forward to attack him again, but felt Ilane behind his front paw and stopped himself; though he couldn't stop the angry tremors going through his body.

'A true werewolf doesn't steal ones mate!' Al barked.

Ilane held onto Nick, burring her face in his shoulder. "It's okay." she said softly.

Ed growled. 'What are you going to do about it,' he barked back.

Nick growled. 'I could think of a few things,' his claws dug into the ground.

'I think we should follow the LAWS and put you to trial.' Al said, a hint of alpha in his voice.

Ed growled. 'Sure, a trial.'

Nick nodded in agreement with his brothers, his teeth still bared at Ed.

"What does a Trial mean?" Ilane asked nick softly.

Al sighed, sad this had to happen. 'it may not turn out good brother. are you sure you're ready to face the consequences?'

'It means the pack will vote on what to do with Ed, based on his crimes. The results are anywhere from banishment to death,' he told her.

Ed nodded, his guard still not down.

"That's not good..." Ilane said softly again.

'al sighed. 'Ed, please... re think this. I have no control over what the pack votes.'

Ed growled at him. 'What would your punishment be, then?'

'The only two punishments for this is Banishment or Death. I'll let the pack vote on it.' he said.

Nick never took his eyes off of Ed as the pack voted one by one.

Not sure they wanted to kill one of their Alphas, they voted for banishment.

'There you have it, Ed. I can chase you out myself if you want,' Nick growled.

'Don't worry about it,' Ed snapped and ran off, heading North.

Al sighed, shaking his head. 'do you think he'll ever come back, Nick?' he asked.

'He'd better not,' Nick growled. 'It's against the laws,' he said, half jokingly, flashing his brother a wolfy grin.

Al glared at him then sighed, walking away from everyone.

Nick nuzzled Ilane and walked after his brother. 'I'm sorry, Al,' he said quietly. 'But I won't forgive what he did. What he would have done if I hadn't gotten him away from her,' he shuddered at the thought.

'I think Ilane can take care of herself.' Al said. 'she's stronger than you think. and he's our brother! he shouldn't be doing thigns like this in the first place.'

'He is still our brother. At least we didn't have to kill him,' he pointed out quietly.

'just leave me alone Nick. Go make love to Ilane or something.' he sighed, looking down, his nose almost touching the ground.

Nick whined and nudged his brother affectionately before he went off to Ilane, tackling her playfully, but being careful not to hurt her.

ilane laughed, ending up beneath him. "Hi. how's Al?"

Nick sighed, a whine leaking into his voice. 'He's upset. Told me to leave him alone.'

She sighed, sitting up and kissing his nose. "Things will get better."

He nuzzled her. 'I know. You know what else he told me? He told me to make love to you,' he chuckled.

She chuckled. "Well, since your brother told us to..." She stated, raising an eyebrow.
