" He's so handsome" Darrick smiled as he pulled up a chair by the bed.

" Thats your looks hunny not ours. We're not his father." he chuckled. " You look like me and your brother. you two have my looks. Nicky...he's your mom's genes." he chuckled.

' But your mother is so fond of the idea her boy will be little forever." he chuckled.

Lizzy chuckled and then sighed softly to herself. "I'm sorry for making things difficult for you, like I always do with everything..." Lizzy had the tendency to be stubborn and hasty, only to regret her actions only days later. Now as they awkwardly tried to walk around their fight from nine months ago she felt that she knew better and that they needed to attack it had on. "But we need to talk about what happened."[/font]

" There's nothing to say." he said gently. He stroked her hair. " I'm sorry."

"I'm sorry too..." she said quietly, absentmindedly playing with a lock of hair- she wasn't used to it being so long after keeping it short for such a long time. "I'm sorry for making things difficult and awkward like I always do. I really missed you and everybody else. I really could have used Mom's help, and yours too. it was no fun making a crib, let me tell you." she explained, chuckling a bit.

" Well..... I kinda made some... things..." Darrick said coughing.

"I made the whole nursery with some of Marcus's help." She wasn't trying to sell Marcus out, but that was the truth. While he was out job hunting (and had insisted she not look for a job while she was pregnant) she was stuck at home with nothing to do but build cribs and diaper tables. "Most of it's cheap plastic stuff, though. Not like the nice crib that you originally made for me and Damien." Which he had given to Damien. Deep down Lizzy still resented Damien for being favored over her.

Damien was had his child before her. Darrick smiled " well... I made things for you."

That was fair. He got to have the crib that the both of them shared because he couldn't keep it in his pants as long as Marcus could. Lizzy sighed to herself, but then smiled. "Did you?" she asked softly, brushing some hair from her eyes. "I'll have to come over and look at it. I'd love to get rid of some of the cheap playskool furniture. It has no memories to it and it never will."

Why should he have to keep it in his pants? He was married at the time of Deren's conception. " Well its ten times better than that stuff. Besides Damien got the crib but he didn't get the rocking chair. I saved that for you."

"Good. I've always liked the rocking chair." When her father had made most of the furniture in the nursery as a gift to her mother he had used mostly cherrywood to leave a nice scent in the room. As she had gotten older she had been fond of the rocking chair, loving the carvings and detail that her father had put into his lovers gift to his wife.

"I knew you would want the rocking chair." he sasoftly.

"Thank you for saving it for me." She said, nodding her head thoughtfully. The door opened and a nurse came in, telling Darrick that visiting hours were over and that Lizzy needed to rest up and regain strength after being in labor for nearly 24 hours. Hugging her father goodbye, Lizzy sighed and then laid back against the pillows and closed her eyes.

Carmella was waiting in the parking lot for Darrick, sitting on a bench and holding a bag of cookies that she had gotten from a vending machine. She had wanted to be with her husband and of course her dated whom she had wanted to see so badly during the past nine months but she knew that they needed that time together to bond and make piece with one another.

" We'll be back tomarrow hun." Darrick said gently.

Lizzy nodded her head though by then she was almost gone into dreamland. When Carmella met up with her husband against she hugged him tight and for a very long time, knowing how happy and emotional he was to see his little girl again who in many ways actually had a lot in common with him. "Everyone is waiting for us back at the motel." she said, holding his hand and walking with him to the car.

" We have alot towork on to bring our family back together" he sad to her gently.

"We just need to take things slow, step by step. The old feelings of a family are still there but we can force everything back all at once or else we'll scare her away. Nothing has ever happened over night." Carmella blushed a bit, "Except for the conception of our children anyway." she finally admitted, hesitantly. Sighing a bit to herself, she started the car and drove back to the motel where the rest of the family was waiting for them.

A nurse had been eyeing Marcus for the past five hours and was ready to go in for the kill. She wasn't affair that he was here with a wife and had assumed he was just seeing a friend. She had only seen him in the hallways getting coffee and meeting with a large group of people before going inside a hospital room.

Darrick laughed gently. " Funny how that works. Make a family over night but can't put one back together over night" he chuckled




Marcus wasn't showing any internest in anything but his wife and son.

He had a nice body on him and it looked like he was a really tiger in the sack, something that she really needed after breaking up with her boyfriend. As she saw him walking out of a hospital room (some guy named Vlad, what a weird name) she went in for the kill. "Hey," she said, offering him a kind smile and a giggle. "Is your friend all right in there?"

" yes thanks" he said. He was distracted.

She wasn't used to being ignored, always having been the cute blonde cheerleader at school and then the perky college graduate. "So, I've been noticing you all day and I've been wondering if maybe you wanted to go get a coffee. I get off from work now so it's no problem." She offered him a smile, though inside she was just thinking about him saying yes and then turning his world upside down in the back of his car.

" I should be with my wife.." he said gently.
