No one could see this one coming...

"please dont make fun of my speech impediment dear" he chuckled, giving her a kiss on the forehead...

She smiled. "I'm sorry, honey. There was a chance and I took it," she teased.

He smiled " It's ok hun I don't mind too much " He put the dishes in the sink and began to wash them...

She got up, groaning like an old lady, and went to help him, squeezing to fit into a corner to forcefully help him.

He smiled letting her sidle in beside him, enjoying her closeness. But he hogged most of the dish work.

Once the dishes were done, she smiled up at him. "Thanks for dinner. It was delicous."

"anytime my dear anytime.." he smiled warmly, " I think you should come over more often, I loved cooking for you" he hugged her, gently so as not to hurt her tummy.

She smiled and nodded. "We should do this more often," she agreed, hugging him. He was warm - she laid her head on his chest and relaxed, feeling content.

"so what do we do now?" he asked tentatively, as he snuggled up closer to her.

"I dunno... Maybe relax and watch tv for a little while? I'm too stuffed to do much else," she said, shrugging."

"sounds good hun," he said as he made his way to the couch, "what would you like to see? I dont have a ton of channels but I do have some decent ones... well if you're into nerdy stuff like me"

"You've known me for how long and you still don't know I'm a nerd," she shook her head, chuckling.

" heheh alright alright, I think there's an interesting show about the taiga on the discovery channel right now... If you're interested?" He smiled, patting the seat next to him

She sat next to him and leaned her head on his shoulder. "Sure," she said, curling her legs up under her as she got comfy.

He smiled and stroked her hair gently, " I love you, hun."

"I love you, too," she smiled up at him softly.

He sighed gently and held her close, the show playing a beautiful scene of the tops of the alpine trees of the taiga.

She smiled and snuggled close to him, content and comfortable.

The next morning he wakes up, looking down to find his beloved sleeping contentedly on his shoulder, they'd fallen asleep on the couch that night, the tv was still running... paid programming by now... "good morning sweety"

She groaned, rubbing her eyes sleepily. She blinked, confused as to where she was and looked around. Seeing him, she finally realized where she was and smiled. 'Morning."

"sleepwell hun?" he asked teasingly, giving her a gentle prod in the shoulder

She nodded, yawning. "Uh-huh. How about you?"

"the best sleep I've ever had my love" He smiled

She smiled and nuzzled him. "you're so sweet."

"nah, you're the sweet one" he chuckled, giving her a kiss on the cheek
