She nodded. "Uh-huh," she smiled.

She smiled, nuzzling her daughter. "Good."

Nick smiled and laid his head down, closing his eyes.

Ilane smiled, holding Bri and laying down with her back against Nick's chest. "Time to sleep." she said softly.

Bri yawned and cuddled close to her mommy and daddy, closing her eyes. She was tired, but she was warm and felt very safe.

Nick curled his tail around them to keep them extra warm and relaxed, falling asleep.

that morning, Ilane woke up and smiled, holding Bri closer.

Nick slept in later, as did Bri, comfortable, warm, and happy.

Brados was curled around Sam and their babies protectively as he slept. He yawned, waking up and looked over his family.

Sam slept with her arm over Conall, Izzy and Kale, who was on the end, holding her mom's hand like it was a life line.

Brados nuzzled them all gently and lovingly, pulling his tail over them to keep them warm.

Sam sighed softly., slowly starting to wake up.

How did you sleep, my darling, he asked her softly, nuzzling her softly.

She opened her eyes and smiled at him. He had been out looking for Bri, so she didn't know he was there. "I slept fine." she said softly so not to wake the kids. "How late were you out there?"

She nodded, sighing, wishing to move closer to him but didn't want to disturb the kids. "She's back, that's all that matters."

Brados snuggled closer to her carefully and nuzzled her lovingly. Yes.

She smiled. "Baby, do you love me enough to get me something to eat?" she asked, like she always used to do.

Of course, my dearest, he smiled and nuzzled her. Stay warm. I'll be right back. He got up carefuly so he didn't wake their kids and went to go get them all something to eat.

Sam smiled, holding her kids close as her stomach growled slightly.

Brados hurried back, carrying armfuls of food for them. "Here you go, babe. This enough," he asked with a chuckle.

"I think so.." She said, smiling. Slowly, she pulled her hand away from Kale and sat up.

He smiled and sat down behind her, wrapping his arms around her and handing her some food, nuzzling her lovingly.

She smiled. "It amazes me that you're so gentle..." She said softly as she ate.

He smiled and kissed her cheek. "I could never hurt the woman I love," he murmured softly.

"But, I mean... you're so big." she said, cuddling close to him.

He chuckled. "All the better to protect you, my dear. Or were you talking about something else," he winked, laughing quietly.
