A Werewolf's Heart Part 1.3

Conall looked out the entrance to their den. "Late in the morning. Izzy's hungry."

She stood, only tripping as her moose fur blanket got wrapped around her feet. She sighed, untangling herself before getting up again, a little red. "Alright." She sighed. "do you think mommy's back yet?"

"I don't know," Conall sighed softly, looking down at a fussy Izzy. "Let's go see," he stood.

She nodded, walking out behind him.

Sam saw them and smiled, still feeling amazingly awkward.

Conall sat down by his parents. "Izzy woke us up," he yawned. "Good morning."

Brados chuckled softly, patting their heads. "Good morning. Did you not get a lot of sleep," he asked Conall. Usually, he was much more awake than this at this time of day.

Conall shook his head and grabbed some food for Izzy and himself. "I talked to Mommy last night and fell asleep."

Sam nodded. "We had a bit of a talk last night." She said, winking softly at Conall.

Conall smiled up at her. "Mommy's slowly coming back," he said cheerfully.

Brados smiled. "I noticed."

Izzy blinked up at them, gnawing on a piece of bear meat.

She smiled, holding her arms out to her baby. "I'll take her so you can eat."

"Okay," Conall smiled, handing his youngest sister to their mommy.

Izzy gurgled, smiling at her, waving her drooled-on piece of meat in the air.

Sam laughed, smiling brightly at Brados. This was a great moment for her.

Brados smiled happily at her and kissed her cheek. She was starting to look like herself again.

She smiled, holding her youngest close, letting her drool over her.

Izzy giggled, smiling happily at her Mommy.

A tear ran down Sam's cheek but she hid it quickly. She smiled, pure happiness.

Brados picked up Kale and Conall, setting them in his lap and hugging them happily. "How'd you sleep, baby girl," he asked Kale.

she shrugged, cuddling close to her dad. "I was cold." she said softly. "Even with the blanket you made me."

"Aww, I'm sorry, sweetheart. you can sleep in our bed tonight," he promised, nuzzling her gently.

she smiled brightly up at her dad. "really?"

He smiled and nodded. "Sure. No reason you can't. Especially with it getting colder."

She smiled and cuddled closer. "Thank you."

"Anytime, sweetheart," Brados kissed her forehead.

"Is it going to snow?" she asked. Her favorite thing was playing in the snow. She looked at her mom. "You can I play alllll the time." she said, talking like a normal 5 year old. "We would build snow mans and everything!"

He chuckled softly. "It's getting to be that time of year," he agreed. "We might see snow tonight."

She smiled. "Mommy, if it does snow, will you play with me?" She asked.

Sam nodded slowly. "Yeah... I guess so." she said softly.

Brados smiled. "Let's all play in the snow. It'll be fun."

Conall chuckled. "It's funny to see Daddy play in the snow. He's so big, he looks so silly."
